It's been a week since the appointment at Dr. Greene's office and I've finally started to relax. After my first trimester ended, Christian took me out to Canlis, a fancy restaurant close to Escala. As soon as we walked in, I knew we were in for an extravagant night. The smells engulfed me and had my mouth watering in seconds. We were seated in a secluded corner and Christian held out my chair for me.

"Quite the gentleman," I teased. He gave me his shy smile and rounded the table, sitting down across from me. A waiter soon came to our table and placed two waters down. I thanked him, and after he left, I turned to Christian.

"You didn't want wine?" I asked, incredulous. Every time we have gone to a restaurant, Christian has ordered some elaborate type of wine.

"Why would I order wine when you can't have any?"

When he said that, my heart immediately started beating faster. Nowadays, everything makes me happy and on the verge of tears, so this was no exception.

"You'd do that for me?" I questioned, wiping my eyes. He laughed and took my hand from across the table.

"Ana, I would do anything for you."

We stayed like that for a while, holding hands and staring into each other's eyes. We eventually broke it off once the waiter came back to take our orders. While Christian ordered for the both of us, I heard my phone vibrate in my purse. I reached in and took it out, noticing it was from Kate.

I miss you! It's been way too long. I have some news to share with you too. Let me know when you're free.

I sent a quick response and looked up to see Christian watching me. I quickly put my phone away and smiled.

"It was just Kate," I explained quickly.

"How is she? You guys haven't seen each other in a while."

"I know. She said she has some news she wants to share with me. I wonder what it could be," I murmured, thinking about it. What could she have to tell me? Christian cleared his throat, bringing my attention back to him, and raised his glass of water.

"A toast to my beautiful, pregnant wife and my beautiful baby. I will love and cherish the two of you as long as I live. You guys are my life line," Christian stated, smiling proudly. This time, I couldn't help all the water works. I was basically sobbing as I raised my glass to his. Christian chuckled softly and got up from his chair, walked around to me, and embraced me.

"You cry too much," he whispered in my ear, making me laugh. Although he was joking, I knew he was right. I cry all the time. He kissed both my cheeks, my nose, my forehead, my eyes, and then my lips. I instantly shut up and kissed him back, the tears long gone now. Oh right, I forgot to mention that I am also horny all the time. I'm just a bag of tears and horniness. What a great combo. Christian broke off the kiss and looked me in the eyes.

"Later," he promised, and I saw a twinkle in his eyes. I nodded my head eagerly and sipped on my water. A few minutes later, our meals arrived, and it had to be among the best meals I have ever eaten. Sure, Mrs. Jones's cooking was exquisite, but this was amazing too. Christian had ordered us each filet mignon's with mushrooms, spinach, and onions. Christian sensed my impatience when I was cutting the steak so he quickly took my plate and cut it himself. This is why I love my husband. Well, one of the reasons. I gave him a bright smile when he returned my plate and instantly dug in.

"This is perfection," I said, and Christian agreed. Suddenly, I felt movement in my stomach, and I knew Blip liked what I was eating too.

"Blip is happy with the meal as well," I told Christian with a smile, making him laugh.

"I think Blip is happy with anything you give him, Ana," Christian smiled back, "He loves his mama." As soon as he said those words, I knew Christian was mentally slapping himself because out came the tears again. Dear god this sucks.

"Stop making me cry! You're saying too many nice things," I scolded, wiping my eyes yet again.

"I will never stop saying nice things to you. I love you too much," he said simply, and with that, the tears of happiness came down harder.
