Chapter Fourteen

When we get home, Christian picks me up bridal style and carries me to our bedroom. To say I'm exhausted is an understatement. Carrying another human being inside me is harder than I ever expected. Christian sets me down on our bed and takes my shoes off for me.

"You don't have to do that," I say, but truthfully am relieved I don't have to bend over to take them off myself.
"It's not like you can," he teases, making me blush. He sets my shoes on the floor and sits at the end of the bed, grabbing my feet to place them on his lap. Tentatively, he begins to massage my left foot, easing away the subtle pain I had started to get from walking so much.

"You should really take it easy, Ana. Your ankles are swollen and you shouldn't be moving around so much. Take it easy," he suggests, but I know it's more of a demand rather than a request. I simply nod my head and lean back, enjoying his skillful hands kneading away the pain.

"Should we discuss names?" I ask him. I have actually been thinking of names for a while now. It's definitely not as easy as I had thought.

"Sure. Tell me what you've come up with so far."

"Well, for a girl, I like the names Charlotte and Amelia. There are a few more, but those are my top choices for a girl. For a boy, I was thinking Charles or perhaps Jackson."

"I don't know about Charles," Christian says, "I do like Jackson though. Maybe Alexander?"

"Alexander is a nice name. There are too many options!" I complain. This is too stressful. Christian continues to rub my feet as we both think about names. It seems like forever until Christian softly speaks.

"Theodore."

Our eyes meet and I watch a slow smile spread across his face.

"Theodore," I say, testing it. Theodore Grey sounds like the perfect name. A smile takes over my face and I nod my head. Christian gets up and crawls to the spot next to me, pulling me into his chest.

"Theodore," he says softly into my ear.
