I can't breathe. The blood drains from my face and my hand drops out of Christian's grasp. No. He's wrong. Jack can't be out. He's been in for only a few months! How could they release him? He's a criminal!
My head begins to spin with this information and I slowly sink back into the stool next to Christian. My mouth has gone dry and I can't even form words. Christian is silent, his eyes pleading with mine to not break down. I lick my lips and am only able to spit out one word.
"How?"
Christian looks down at his hands that have balled into fists.
"We don't know. No one can figure that out. There are men searching for him, Ana. We will find him," Christian promises me. I still feel breathless. I feebly nod my head.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I ask quietly. Christian face is automatically full of guilt.
"I was going to this morning, but then you got really sick and I didn't want to make it worse."
A part of me is grateful he did that, but another part is furious he didn't tell me. I have a right to know. Oh god. Things are going to change now. Christian quickly answers my thoughts.
"Security is going to be doubled. You'll be safe Ana," Christian says, reaching out towards me. I can barely feel his arms on my shoulders. I just feel numb. I quickly stand up from my stool and walk towards our bedroom.
"Ana?" Christian calls after me, and I can hear the stool skid against the floor as he gets up to follow me. I quicken my pace and enter our bedroom, heading straight to the bathroom. I slam the door behind me and lock it.
"Ana!" Christian says softly on the other side of the door. I slide down to the floor, leaning my head against the wall. I can't function right now. Minutes go by before my breathing finally returns to normal.
"Baby, please open the door," Christian murmurs. I take in a few deep breaths before standing up. Christian is sitting on the floor, his head in his hands when I open the door. His head immediately shoots up and his eyes meet mine. I kneel down next to him and wrap my arms around him. We stay like that for a while before Christian speaks.
"You know, this is supposed to be the other way around. I'm the one who should be comforting you," he says, making me giggle. He's absolutely right. I am petrified right now, but knowing that he's been dealing with this by himself makes me just want to shower him with love.
"I love you Christian," I say, running a hand through his soft hair. He looks up at me and kisses my lips tenderly.
"We're going to be okay," he says, and I nod my head in agreement. He then places his hands on my belly. Although in fear, this moment just feels right. I stand up and pull Christian up as well. Without a word, I begin unbuttoning his shirt and push it off his shoulders. I keep my eyes on him while I unbuckle his belt and unzip his pants. I pull them down his legs and he kicks them off. His confused expression soon turns to realization when I kneel down in front of him.
"Ana," he drawls out when I begin to tug his boxers down. I soon become face to face with his erection and without notice, I place him in my mouth. He sucks in a deep breath and closes his eyes, his fingers going into my hair. I bob up and down on his length, tightening my lips around him. His tip hits the back of my throat but I ignore the instinct to gag, focusing on pleasuring him. I keep my eyes on his and it leads to his undoing.
"Oh Ana," he calls out when he finds his release. I swallow greedily and blink up at him. He helps me stand and kisses me passionately.
"You are full of surprises, Mrs. Grey," he says admiringly. I blush, making him smirk.
"Now it's your turn," he winks, dragging me to the bed.
