Light is shining in from the open balcony door. I reach my hand out for Christian, but his side of the bed is empty. I sit up and look around. I spot him outside reading a book, probably about economics. This morning I'm not as sore, so getting out of bed is easier. I walk towards the balcony and lean against the door. Christian looks his age, wearing jeans and a white t-shirt. I can't see his eyes through his Rayban's, but I know he's deep in thought. I come up behind him and wrap my arms around his neck, planting a kiss on his cheek.
"Good morning, Mrs. Grey. Sleep well?" He asks, giving me his all-american boy smile.
"Yes, thank you. I feel much better this morning. I think I'm up for a shower," I say, knowing this will get his attention.
"Really?" he asks, surprised and amused. "Well if it's a shower you want, a shower you'll get." He puts his book down on the small table next to his chair and stands up, lacing his fingers through mine and giving me a swift kiss.
"Let's get you clean," he grins, and leads me into the bathroom without letting go of my hand. He goes directly to the shower and turns it on, waiting for it to become an appropriate temperature for my "condition".
"I don't want the water too hot or it could hurt you more," he shrugs, not taking any chances to injure me further. I smirk at him.
"Oh Christian. You're so overprotective. I can't imagine what you'll be like when Blip becomes a teenager." Christian pales and gives me his fearful eyes. I know he's worried about being a good father.
"Hey. Don't worry. You're going to be an excellent father. I wouldn't be with you if I thought you wouldn't be. Blip will love you unconditionally, just like me," I say, hugging him tightly. He hugs me back, nuzzling his face into my hair.
"I know, but I'm still worried," he says, looking unsure of himself.
"Christian, trust me. You're going to be a wonderful father. We are going to be parents soon! We will both be learning together. We're Grey's! We can handle it," I smile, then swat his behind.
"Hey!" he laughs, and quickly undresses both of us. He pulls me into the shower and I am overwhelmed by how much relief bombards me. The water feels amazing on my bruised body, and I am so grateful that Christian allowed me to take a shower instead of a bath. Christian grabs the soap and works it into a lather, then begins rubbing it into my shoulders and neck.
"Mmm," I sigh. "I like this."
"As do I," Christian smirks, his eyes already dilated. This gives me an idea. As he soaps me up, I do the same to him, except I start lower.
"I know what you're doing," Christian says darkly.
"What am I doing," I bat my eyelashes at him, playing innocent. I rub the soap onto his stomach and then move my hands down his happy trail to his most prized body part. Before I can touch his growing erection, he grabs my hands to stop me.
"No, Anastasia. I am not going to risk hurting you. Please don't push me," he sighs. I pout, but know he's right. He was frantic in the hospital after the incident with Jack. I don't want him to be that worried again.
"Ok," I breathe, surrendering my plan.
"Good," he smiles, and grabs my face in his hands and plants a soft, wet kiss on my lips.
"How is Blip doing today?" Christian asks, moving his hand across my belly.
"He's very active actually. He's been kicking a lot," I say, moving his hand to the left side of my belly where I know Blip will kick any minute now. We don't have to wait long. We feel a soft kick, and Christian's face lights up like a Christmas tree.
"Wow," Christian murmurs. He does this every time he feels a kick. He's always left in amazement.
"Can we get out now? I'm turning into a prune," I laugh, showing him my wrinkled fingers. He nods and turns the shower off, instantly making me cold. He hurries and grabs a towel for me and wraps me up, not wanting me to be cold. I step out of the shower and walk out of the bathroom, wanting to find something warm and comfy to wear for the day. As I head into the closet, I hear Christian's electronic razor spring to life and I know he looks hot standing there in only a towel. I hurry and dress so I have time to catch him in the act, and there he is, looking muscular and sexy in only his towel. He's carefully shaving the side of his face, not missing a hair. He smirks at me through the mirror, making me blush.
"Enjoying the show?" He laughs, giving me a knowing look.
"Quite a bit," I giggle, and wrap my arms around his waist.
"I'm going to go eat breakfast. Don't be too long in here," I say, reaching up on my tiptoes to kiss his cheek which is freshly shaved.
"I'll be out soon. I promise," Christian reassures me, and with that, I walk out and follow the smell of bacon to the kitchen.

"Full?" Christian asks me, sipping his black coffee. I nod my head and hold my belly, knowing Blip is full too.
"I was thinking we could do some shopping today for the nursery. What do you think?" Christian says. My eyes light up immediately.
"Yes! I would love to. I'm ready to get out of this place," I admit, hopeful that he doesn't take offense to it. He laughs and takes another sip of his coffee.
"I figured as much. Go get ready so we can leave within the hour," he says, standing up to get more coffee.
"Okay," I say enthusiastically, bubbling with excitement. When's the last time I left Escala? Then I remember. I last left when I was going to work and ended up in the situation with Jack. The day I lied about leaving Christian. The memory makes me shudder and I distract myself quickly so I won't have to think about it anymore. I walk in to the closet for the second time this morning and look for something more suitable to wear on my first outing in over a week. I select a blue maternity dress that Caroline Acton, Christian's personal shopper, picked out for me. Even maternity clothes are expensive, I think as I look at the price tag reading $565. I slip it on and choose comfortable black flats. I walk back out and look at myself in the mirror. I look pale and tired and my hair badly needs a haircut. I brush my hair quickly before leaving the bedroom to meet Christian in the foyer.
"Ready?" He asks, smiling at me.
"Ready," I state, taking his hand and leading him into the open elevator.
