Chapter 7:Welcome back

Daniel's POV

It was another sunny morning,and I was ready to go to Amber's to play with her. I can't get enough of the times that I almost see her everyday,I want to be with her every second maybe that'll make me satisfied. I changed into my shorts,shirt and my favorite baseball cap and off I go to the girl of my dreams.
I was about to open the door when my mom stopped me.

"Mom, I have got to go to Amber's. I miss her mom." I whined.
"But you saw her yeaterday." My mom retorted.
"I know,but mom, I want to be with her everyday." I whined again.
"You can't baby." My mom said sadly.
"Why mom?" I asked.
"We're leaving this town now baby,daddy's got a new job far away from here." She said.
"What?! B-but I c-can't leave Amber. I love her mom!!!" I almost shouted and in the verge of tears.
"Baby,you can't say you love her yet. You're too young to think that. And maybe when you're older we can come back here." She said trying to comfort me.
"Okay mom. But can I say goodbye to her?" I asked,trying to stop the tears falling.
"As much as I want to baby,you can't. We've got to leave now the car's ready and your father is waiting." She said.
"But mom!!" I complained.
"It's going to be okay baby. Please understand." She said.
"O-okay." I answered crying.

My mom carried me to the car,still crying. As we drove off I can't help myself but to stare at our old house and the house beside ours. It was Amber's. Oh God! I'm going to miss her. And I didn't even say goodbye. I hope to see her soon. I'll miss her so much. I'll miss my best friend so much.

Amber's POV

I woke up with a tear-stained face. Fuck memories. I sat on the edge of my bed,trying to rub off the sleepiness in my system. Then I got up for shower.

I dressed up in my usual clothes-skinny jeans,tank top,black and red button-up and my black roshe. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw an empty void of emotions in my eyes and a tired body. My blue eyes aren't that shiny anymore,it's more dull.
Way to start a Saturday morning Amber. I say to myself.

I went downstairs to eat breakfast but stopped in my tracks when I saw Daniel at our living room. Confusion kicked in. Who let him in?
"Good morning honey!" A female voice said-Mom.
"Good morning mom, where's dad?" I asked not bothered by the fact that she's here while Daniel is. Now this is unusual.
"Business." Was her flat reply.
"Oh. Why is Daniel here?" I asked.
"Oh come on dear,he's your best friend. Why didn't you reunite you friendship when he was here from the start of your high school?" She said
"What?!" I retorted dumbfounded.
"Daniel Collins-your childhood best friend? Ring a bell?" My mom said.

By now Daniel was by my side. Watching us two with nervousness clear in his eyes.

"So your THE Danny,that was my best friend?" Anger lacing my voice as I spoke.
"Was?" Mom asked. But I ignored her,still irritated by the presence beside me.
"Yes." Daniel said softly.
"Wow for four years now you didn't tell me?! You came to me like a new person?! You hadn't even say you were my best friend?! You weren't there when I needed you! Then here I thought that that BEST FRIEND forgot about me cause he haven't even contacted me! Then now?! Here he is standing in all his glory like I'm not hurting!!!!" I yelled.
"I can see that you're shocked and hurting-"
"Yeah no shit." I muttered cutting him off.
"Amber! Language!" My mom shouted.
"Sorry mom." I said.
"Okay Daniel continue." My mom said while smiling. Really?! Smiling?! At the times like this?
"As I was saying,let me have a chance to explain everything to you and also a chance to reunite our long lost friendship,so what do you say?" He asked,hopeful that I'll say yes. Ha! Bitch please! He lost his chance a long time ago.
"So you think that with very long speech,you'll change my mind?" I asked,irritation hidden from my voice.
"Yes?" He said almost a question.
"Well Danny,you're wrong." I said flatly.
"What?" He said dumbfounded.
"Do you think that I'd trust you again after this? You know after Blake's death I treated you as a friend and had trust in you that you'll bring me back to normal and bring happiness to me again,but now all of those are nothing to me now. But thank you though for telling the truth,because if you didn't I'd be a blinded fool forever." I said.
"Amber-"
"No! Please don't say anything. A lot had happened for this month only. It's all coming too fast. Please stay away from from now on. I'll never treat you as a friend,not now not ever." I said and got out of the living room and stormed upstairs to my room.

But on a slightly important note, I got reunited with my best friend again,but on a very unusual way. Welcome back Danny.
