Chapter 35- Pulse, Paddles, Time.

Cole’s POV.

I spoke “I’ll give you anything, let me help her, she’s dying.”

Joe smirked and said “Either you or her.”

“Deal, Me for her.”

He smirked again and pulled the trigger on my leg.

Mason’s POV.

“Let me help Caitlyn.”

Joe snapped back “No, she has to die.”

I looked over at Caitlyn and saw her drifting off. She was barely breathing.

Joe shot Cole again in the same leg.

I didn’t know what to do; Caitlyn and Cole are going to die.

I saw Joe fall to the ground. I looked around and saw Jamie Day with a gun.

He walked closer to me and said “I’ll call an ambulance, Try to keep Caitlyn alive.”

I almost ran to Caitlyn and whispered to her “Just hold on for a little bit, helps coming.”

I went the feel her pulse, and there was nothing there.

I tried again and again. There was nothing.

“No. No. No. You can’t die.”

“JAMIE.”

“What’s the problem?”

“I can’t feel her pulse.”

A couple tears escaped my eyes.

I moved her hair off her face and kissed her forehead. “Don’t die on me Caitlyn.”

“Mason…”

I turned around, and saw Cole on the ground. In a lot of pain, but still alive.

“what?”

“I can’t feel her anymore.”

I snapped back “She’s not dead.”

The paramedics got here. Two of them went to help Cole. Two of them came over to Caitlyn, a girl and a guy. The girl felt Caitlyn’s pulse and she looked over to the guy “We need the paddles.”

The man took them out of his bag and handed them to the girl.

She placed them on Caitlyn’s chest and said “Clear.”

I saw Caitlyn move, I started tearing up again.

She checked her pulse again. Put the paddles back in the same place and said “Clear.”

She put her fingers on Caitlyn’s neck. She looked over at the man. Then at her watch. “11:42 PM.”
