Chapter 24- News, Hosptial, Jerks

Mason

I was sitting down on the couch just waiting for Caitlyn to come back just day dreaming of what life would be like if Zack wasn't here, just dreaming of me and Caitlyn doing what every other set of mates are doing; growing up, having a family and set them up for their mates one day.

I was interrupted by screaming by Cole "CAITLYN, CAITLYN, MASON GET OVER HERE."

I stood up and was about to go outside and see what's going on but I got interrupted again but this time by Zack. He was running down the stairs and was about to go outside but I blocked the front door and said "Where do you think your going?"

"Didn't you hear Cole, Caitlyn is hurt."

"I'll go"

"Mason, Caitlyn is out cold we can both go."

"Shit!! I didn't know it was that bad."

I opened the door in about two seconds Zack and I were by her side, Zack was right she is out cold. That's when I stared to panic and I had no idea what to do.

"Cole what happened?"

"I don't even know I was telling her...." He stopped talking and I pretty much screamed at him "You were telling her what???"

"That I was leaving"

"WHAT! Ok we will deal with you later, so she just fainted?"

"Pretty much."

"Well I'll call 911."

I didn't realize that Zack beat me to it until he was on the phone speaking "She just fainted!!!" "Well hurry up!!!"

He hung the phone up and pretty much threw it on the ground.

Cole went inside to tell everyone what happened and the ambulance showed up and quickly put her in the ambulance and everyone was running around. They would only let one person in so because its Mason day I got to go.

I held her hand the whole way and didn't even pay attention to all the wires they were hooking on to her, I was just praying that Caitlyn's okay.

Caitlyn

I opened my eyes and I was on a really uncomfortable bed, I could hear the hospital beeps, I could feel everything hooked up to me, and most important I could feel someone holding my hand.

Soon to realize it was Mason. He looked like a wreck, his shirt was all full of blood, his hair was completely messed up and his eyes look like he was crying for ages.

Mason spoke but it was barley a whisper "Caitlyn?"

"That's me" it barely even came out, man my throat hurt.

"Omg! I'm so glad you're okay"

Mason stood up and kissed my forehead.

I was about to ask him what happened but then I remembered, Cole told me he was going to leave and I fainted. I was then going to ask Mason what's wrong with me but the doctor beat me to it.

The doctor walked in with a clip board. He had gray hair, black square glasses, blue eyes, and a big doctor's lab coat.

"Hello Caitlyn Glad to see you awake."

"Umm thx, what wrong with me?"

"I'll tell you, alone" as he looked at Mason.

Mason looked at me and then straight at the doctor and said "What could be so bad that I can't know?"

"You can know but I can only tell Caitlyn and it's her choice to tell you."

I could tell Mason was about to argue so I said "Mason just go."

He looked at me in disbelief and walked straight out, slamming the door.

"So what so wrong with me?"

"Well I suspect that you didn't know that you're pregnant?"

I was completely silence. I didn't know what to say to that. I'm having Zack's baby even though I pick Mason. Well this won't go over well. "Are you sure?"

"I'm positive, so I'm guessing your mate is the father?"

"No he's not."

"Oh so it the other young gentlemen out there Zack I believe?"

"He is out there can you go get him? Please?"

"Of course."

The doctor walked out and I could hear Mason screaming "WHY DOES SHE WANT ZACK!!"

Zack walked in and closed the door and whispered "Hey how you doing?"

"I'm good."

"You don't look good."

"Oh thanks."

"Ha-ha no problem, so what's wrong with ya?"

"I don't know how to say this, umm I'm having your baby."

Zack raised his eyebrows and looked down at my stomach and all he could say was "really?"

I just shook my head waiting for his reaction "well does this mean you pick me?"

"I don't know Zack I was really going to pick Mason, but now this happened."

I shouldn't have said that cause now Zack flipped. "You new this whole time that you were going to pick Mason and you didn't tell me?"

"I just didn't want to lose you."

"Well you all ready did."

Zack walked straight out and slammed the door and I just cried into my pillow.

I didn't even realize Mason walked in until he spoke "Caitlyn what did Zack do?"

"He left."

"I know that part. Caitlyn what is wrong with you?"

"Mason i-i-m having Zack's b-baby "

"WHAT!"

I just kept crying not even looking at Mason.

"Wait so Zack just left. He's not going to take care of the baby."

"I told him that I was going to pick you in the first place but now I don't know and he left"

Mason sat down next to me gently and was wiping away my tears and whispered "I love you"

"But what about the baby? It's not even yours."

"Well the bio-dad is going off and feeling sorry for himself."

"So you want to be the dad."

"I would do it for you."

I leaned in and put my lips against Mason's and I don't think we let go for at least 20 minutes. I eventually pulled apart and laid down and fell asleep with Mason holding my hand.
