Caitlyn’s POV.
Mason kissed Angel on the forehead and closed to book he was reading to her. I looked up, saw me at the doorway and smiled.
He stood up and closed the door to Angel’s bedroom quietly, took my hand, and pulled me up into our bedroom.
He closed to door and said “I want you now.”
I smiled and spoke “Angel’s downstairs”
He said quickly while he was walking over to the bed “Fast asleep”
“But what if she wakes….”
He cut me off and put his hand on my cheek and his lips met mine.
We were cut off by the doorbell. Mason sighed, got up and I followed.
Mason opened the door and Jamie came right in. “You need to leave now.”
Mason instantly sensing danger went to my side. I spoke “What happened?”
Jamie spoke “The hunters, there at the house now, we need to get you to safety.”
I spoke “No! We have to go help them! They can all die!”
Mason looked at me and said “That’s not happening, you had like two days of fighting, and you’re going to just get killed.”
I ignored Mason and spoke to Jamie “Keep Angel safe.”
I walked outside, ignoring Mason’s screaming. I turned wolf and ran.
How is everyone
Wow! I just used my mind link with Cole!
Tom and Sue killed one and I killed one. Ryan’s beating up this one hunter but he’s not dead yet.
I did the math in my head, Two dead, Mason Killed two the day of the accident. There’s six left, one injured.
Is anyone I CARE about hurt or….
I think Mason’s Mom sprained her ankle, her dad brought them somewhere safe. Right now it’s just Tom, Sue, Ryan and I.
Four on four, that’s not good.
I finally reached the house and saw Tom and Sue fighting together trying to take one down. Cole was fighting one. Ryan was on the ground with two hunters about to kill him.
I jumped up, knocking both of them to the ground. I bit one of the hunters on his neck, killing him. Ryan had the other one the ground and broke his neck.
I looked over at Cole; He had so many chances to just end that hunter’s life. It seemed like they were having a conversation.
Cole, you know him?
He’s Emily and Chase’s protector.
Kill him!
Can you come up from behind? He will never expect that. But I have to be the one to kill him.
Sure thing! Where are Emily and Chace?
There somewhere safe, I can’t risk there life.
I came up from behind the “Protector” and knocked him to the ground.
Cole then bit him in the neck. Killing him instantly.
One left.
At that moment Tom and Sue killed the other hunter, stabbing him in the heart.
We did it! We killed all the hunters.
I fell to the ground, feeling a bullet in my chest. I could feel the poison spreading. Mason and Cole came running to my side and then stopped.
Uncle Joe walked closer and closer to me, gun in hand.
“Don’t move, or I will shoot her in the heart this time.”
Are you okay?
I tried to use my mind link, and failed. I’m too weak, I can’t even move. My vision was clouding up.
To give him a sign, I whimpered, well barley.
Cole’s POV
Caitlyn attempted to whimper, and I realized she can’t even talk to me through our mind link right now.
Uncle Joe smirked.
I spoke “I’ll give you anything, let me help her, she’s dying.”
