"Hey!" He calls from his balcony.
I can't believe Laura lives right next to the idiot.
Why him? Of all people in California she has to live by the most annoying.
"You live there?" I yell back.
"No, I'm just robbing. Thought I'd take a break." He replies sarcastically.
I roll my eyes, "I wanted a break from you and your stupidity." I retort.
"Oh you know you missed me." He smirks.
"What was that? I can't hear you." I lie.
"Fine. I'll come down then."
Great.
He disappears inside the house only to reappear at the front door with a stupid smile on his face. I hesitantly open the door.
"Hey." He greets, wiggling his brows.
"Bye." I say, closing the door.
"Wait!" He wedges his foot in the crack of the door, preventing me from closing it.
"What?" I hiss.
"Can I come in?"
"No."
"Why not?" He frowns.
"Why in the name of Gandhi would I let you in my house?"
He grins, "Who wouldn't want me in their house?"
I sigh in frustration. Is he getting more annoying or is it just me?
He waves his hand in front of my face,"Hello?"
I knock it away, "What?"
"I said I'm sorry."
I furrow my brows, "Sorry for what?"
He looks sheepish, "You know..for acting like a flirt. And being pretty annoying."
I raise my brows. Wow, the idiot understood he was being stupid but still chose to be stupid. That's a whole new level of stupidity.
"And your concerned now because.."
He runs his hand through his dark brown hair, "I don't know...you look really annoyed by me. And.. I don't like it."
"That's because I am really annoyed by you." I confess.
"Well...lets start over then. Fresh start. We never bumped into each other, never met." He offers.
I have to admit I am surprised by his offer, but just because he asked to 'start over', doesn't mean that will change who he is. You can't fix stupid, plain and simple.
"I don't know.." I trail off.
I rather just act like we never met and stay like that. I don't understand why he wants to bother with it.
"Come on...I paid for your bagel."
"The one that you knocked out of my hand?"
"Still. Come on. Lets start over. I promise I won't act like a whatever you've been thinking in your head."
"Idiot, jerk, flirt, d-"
"I get it." He interrupts.
"So...start over?"
I sigh, "Fine. We can start over."
He smiles. A smile that made my heartbeat pick up. Wait what?!
