Katrina pulled her hair back out of her face, she was a little nervous about going out shopping with Mesut but he had insisted on taking her to find a dress suitable for the award ceremony.

It was strange to think that they were preparing for their first official public appearance together and Katrina knew that it was a big deal for Mesut; she wanted to get this right for his sake.

The last thing that Katrina wanted to do was make a show of Mesut, she could only imagine what would happen if she screwed up; she didn't want to ruin things for him.

"Are you ready to go?" Mesut called from downstairs, he wanted to get going and he knew that Katrina was a little nervous about being outside in public but it would be fine.

Mesut had no worries about what people would think of their relationship, what mattered to him was that they were happy; he was focusing on that more than anything else.

He didn't have to wait long before Katrina came down the stairs, they had talked about the fact that they would be meeting Mesut's mother and Mesut was determined to make this as easy for her as possible.

"It'll be fine," Mesut said taking Katrina's hand, he knew that she didn't like the fact that people stared at them or they were followed around while out but it was all part of his life and he couldn't stop it.

Katrina nodded her head, she was getting used to it now and she was just glad that she didn't have to do this alone; she wasn't sure what she would ever do if she had to do this alone.

Things felt different now and Katrina was just happy that things seemed to be working out so well for them, she liked being around Mesut even after she had walked in on him pleasuring himself.

Opening her mouth to protest, Katrina found herself being lead into an expensive dress store by Mesut; she couldn't afford anything from here and she didn't want people thinking that she was only interested in his money.

Mesut chuckled not listening to her protests, he liked that she didn't want him spending money on her but this time he was insistent on doing this for her.

It was an important event and Mesut wanted Katrina to look even more beautiful than she normal did, he knew that it was just one evening but he wanted to show off Katrina.

"Mes..." Katrina protested, she didn't feel right letting him spend this sort of money on her; she could already tell that everything in the store was worth more than entire wardrobe together.

Being in a store like this made Katrina uncomfortable and it was even worse knowing that there were paparazzi lurking about snapping her picture which would soon be all over the internet.

"Trust me Kat," Mesut murmured gently, he tugged Katrina closer to him and smiled knowing that he was sure that they would be able to sort this out without any trouble.

Katrina slowly nodded her head, she felt so unsure and she was just hopeful that things would work out; she nibbled on her lip as they started to walk through the store.

The couple browsed causally trying to find something that Katrina would like, it was pretty quiet and Mesut wasn't in any rush; he was sure that they would find something here.

Katrina stuck close to Mesut's side, she felt so out of place and she couldn't shake the feeling of being watched; she hated that she was being so awkward right now.

"Why don't you go through to the changing room and try something on?" Mesut suggested knowing that it would make this trip a lot easier; he wanted Katrina to be comfortable in whatever they bought for her to wear.

Wandering through the store while he waited for Katrina to come back, Mesut found himself glad that he had persuaded her to try some things on; the assistants in the store had been more than helpful especially when they knew there was no prince limit.

It meant that Katrina would feel comfortable and that was all that Mesut wanted, he knew she wasn't used to this but they were in his world now and he wanted to show her off.

"Mesut is that you?" said a voice making Mesut stiffen, he should have known that she was still lingering around and he had no idea why Mandy didn't realise that he had no interest in what she wanted.

Mesut slowly turned around and looked at her, he wished that she would leave him alone; he was with Katrina and that wasn't going to change anytime soon.

Spending the rest of his life with his soul-mate was what Mesut wanted and he was already thinking of the future that they'd have; it wouldn't be easy but he knew they would fight for it.

"What are you doing here?" Mesut asked making sure that he kept some distance between them, the last thing he wanted was the rumour mill spreading lies about them being seen together.

Things were going well between him and Katrina, Mesut wasn't going to ruin things because Mandy was taking an interest in him now; he had everything under control.

"It is a dress shop Mesut. I think the question is why are you here?" Mandy replied stepping around him, she couldn't believe her chances and she was glad to catch him alone; she wanted to make him see that she was the one he should be with.

Mesut groaned under his breath, he wasn't going to let her do this to him; he needed to get back to Katrina who should be finishing up with trying on dresses.

"I am here with Katrina," Mesut explained making sure that there was no way anyone could think anything was going on between him and Mandy; he was done with their past.

Mandy frowned a little annoyed the mouse was around, she honestly didn't know why he was staying with the waitress when he could have her; she just needed to make him see that.

"I'm not going to change my mind Mandy," Mesut said ending the conversation as he spotted Katrina coming out, he smiled seeing that she had found a dress; he didn't let Mandy reply before he hurried away from her.

There was nothing that Mandy could say to him that would make him reconsider, Mesut had his life with Katrina planned out and he was even thinking about how they would keep both sets of parents happy for their wedding day.

Katrina smiled up at Mesut completely unaware of the fact that his ex-girlfriend was lingering about in the store; she had found a dress that she liked and she felt bad it was expensive.

"I will find some way of paying you back," Katrina insisted as Mesut took the dress from her, she couldn't allow him to just pay for a dress this expensive when she would only wear it once.

Mesut chuckled walking over to the till to pay for it, he honestly didn't mind and he knew that whatever she had picked would look beautiful; he wanted her to be happy at the ceremony.

"It's fine," Mesut reassured her and he knew that it would probably take her forever to pay him back anyway, it was a gift and he was sure they would find a reason for her to wear it again.

Mandy watched the two of them, she would be seeing Mesut again sooner than he thought after all he wasn't the only one with an invite to the Bambi awards.
