Settling down on the couch, Mesut rested his head back and he knew that Katrina had noticed his behaviour but he felt that it was better that she was kept in the dark for a little while longer.

They had been doing so well and the last month had been good, Mesut was surprised how much needed to be done for the big day and it didn't help that problems were slowly starting to appear.

Quite a few relatives were starting to question the fact that the couple were not having a religious ceremony; some had expected that Mesut would convince his future bride to convert.

Mesut didn't know why some people were being so fussy about this and he was sure that Katrina had relatives that expected him to convert to her faith.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Katrina asked stepping into the room, she was worried about him and she knew that he was disappointed that Arsenal hadn't won the league this year.

However, things were going well at home and Katrina didn't want to worry about things that didn't have to be worried about; she was just relieved that they were going to be okay.

Balboa and Capone climbed up on the couch with Mesut, both dogs having missed being fussed over by him and they wagged their tails when he stroked them.

"There's nothing to talk about it," Mesut replied with a shake of his head, he didn't want to worry her and he knew that it would all work out fine; he just had to sort this out before he headed off to the Euros.

Katrina didn't believe him for a moment, she moved to sit down on the foot rest and she hoped that he would open up to her about what he was thinking.

"Mes... talk to me," Katrina pleaded not wanting him to shut her out or to suffer in silence, she wanted nothing more than to help him in any way that she could.

Mesut sighed and shook his head, he moved to get up from his seat and he hoped that there was food in the fridge; he was starving and he was dreading flying out to France and leaving Katrina alone.

His father was still around and the last thing that Mesut wanted was for the man to get anywhere near Katrina; she was fifteen weeks pregnant now and he couldn't help fear that something might happen to her.

"There's nothing to say," Mesut replied shaking his head, Balboa and Capone followed after him eagerly wanting to be fed; they hurried out of the room and waited in the kitchen for Mesut to feed them.

Katrina blinked a little surprised at the tone of his voice, she could see that whatever was on his mind was bothering him more than he was letting on; she had no idea what to make of all of this.

Mesut took a deep breath and closed his eyes, he didn't want to fight with Katrina and he didn't want say something that he might regret when Katrina wasn't at fault.

"Just leave me alone," Mesut said before heading towards the front door, he wanted to think and he couldn't do that with her badgering him; he didn't want to do anything that he might come to regret.

Katrina opened her mouth at the harshness of his words, she had never seen him like this and it worried her; she climbed to her feet and moved to follow after him.

It hurt that he didn't trust her and Katrina just wished that he would tell her what was going on, she hated that something was bothering him and he couldn't talk to her about it.

Katrina watched as Mesut walked out of the door, she rested a hand on her bump and hoped that he would come back; she had never seen him so frustrated before.

Balboa and Capone sat by her feet and Katrina knew that Mesut would be back when he had calmed down.

Slowly shutting the front door behind him, Mesut wasn't surprised to find the house in darkness since it was late; he swallowed feeling bad that he had stayed away so long and had probably worried Katrina.

Shrugging off his jacket, Mesut moved to hang it up and he knew that he shouldn't have snapped and he hated that he felt like there was so much pressure upon him now.

Moving up the stairs, Mesut hoped that Katrina wouldn't be too upset with him and he knew that this stress couldn't have been good for the baby; he couldn't help but worry that he might mess this all up.

Reaching their bedroom, Mesut paused outside of the door and he hoped that Katrina wasn't sleeping; he had no intentions of messing this up again.

Mesut moved into the bedroom and stopped when he spotted Katrina curled up in bed, he was almost surprised to see her reading and he felt even worse for walking out like he had.

"You're not asleep," Mesut murmured glad that she wasn't, he wanted to make up for what had happened and he couldn't help but worry that she would be upset with him.

Looking up from her book, Katrina stared at him relieved that he had come home safely; she closed the book and pushed the bed covers away from her.

A smile formed on Mesut's face when he spotted the bump that she carried under her animal print kaftan; it was a reminder why he was so stressed out in that moment and what would make it worth the worry.

"I was worried," Katrina whispered climbing out of bed and walking over to Mesut, she wrapped her arms around him and held him close fearing what was going on in his mind.

Mesut hugged her back, he closed his eyes and he was relieved that she wasn't pushing him away; he rested his head on top of hers wanting things to calm down.

"I am sorry I worried you," Mesut mumbled kissing the top of her head, he didn't want to fight with her and he just wanted her to be safe; he couldn't understand why things had to be so difficult for them when they were so in love.

The couple were going to be married in two months and Mesut wasn't going to change his mind, he wanted to marry Katrina and there was nothing that would change his mind about that.

Katrina shook her head and pulled back from Mesut, she kissed him knowing that they were going to be okay; he was back and that was what mattered right now to her.

"I love you," Mesut reassured her knowing that they would have the face the problems that he was hiding from her soon, he didn't know what to make of this and he didn't know how Katrina would react when she knew.

It was all starting to build up and Mesut hated that he had allowed it to get this way, things had been so perfect for them and now people were starting to complain about everything.

Mesut did not care how he married Katrina and he would not demand that she give up her faith for his; she had not demand he give up his for her.

They would work something out for their children but at that moment it did not matter, they were going to be married first and that was what was important not anything else.

"I love you too," Katrina said brushing her fingers through his hair, she smiled up at him and hoped that whatever was worrying him would disappear before he went away.

The last thing she wanted was to spend the last few weeks on eggshells when they should be settling some details for the wedding; she wanted his input on things before he went away.

"And so does bump," Katrina said looking down at her bump, she was surprised that things seemed to move so quickly for them and the baby was going to arrive before they knew it.
