I walked out of the limo that brought me to the airplane runway. I looked up at Liam’s private jet. I wanted to fly my own, but they simply insisted on having us share a plane. I rolled my Gucci suitcase towards the plane. Mike appeared next to me while a guy carted away my luggage.
“How are you feeling?” He asked stopping me.
“Oh, just freaking peachy. I get to spend 5 hours on a plane with my fake boyfriend at 8 o’clock in the morning. Oh and let’s not forget the plain fact that we hate each other, or at least I hate him. Sometimes, most of the time.” I said crossing my arms.
“That’s the spirit. Now, nothing is planed when you guys arrive at the hotel. So take the night to relax. We are going to drop by for a small meeting to discuss the plans for this weekend.” He said smiling.
“Can’t wait.” I said with a fake smile.
“At least if you argue on the plane, no body’s going to see it.” He said with a smirk.
“Great! Because we wouldn’t want to ruin the plan now, would we?” I asked sarcastically.
“No we wouldn’t. So at least try to get along. I told Liam the exact same thing, so don’t feel like I’m only warning you. Even though the warning does mostly apply to you.” He said teasingly.
“Oh whatever. All I’m going to do on this flight is sleep. So you don’t have to worry.” I said pushing up my sunglasses.
“That’s good.” He said smiling.
“About the hotel. You did tell them to fill my kitchenette with fresh food so I can cook.” I asked taking out my phone and checking it.
“Yes, everything you need to make you feel comfortable while you’re there.” He replied pulling out his phone as well.
“Thanks, Mike. Oh and tell Josh I said hi.” I replied while messaging back people.
“Mhm. Sure. Well, I should be letting you go.” He said before walking away. “Oh and Athena. Enjoy the flight.” He added winking, before hopping in his sports car and speeding away.
“Ms. Winters, are you ready?” One of the flight attendants asked.
“Yea.” I said smiling before walking up the stairs into the plane. I saw Liam leaning up against the side of the plane. He spotted me and smiled.
“Good morning beautiful.” He said pushing himself off the wall.
“Oh shove it!” I said before taking off my sunglasses.
“Someone’s in a wonderful mood this delightful morning.” He said with a beaming smile on his face.
“What’s got you in such a good mood?” I asked before sitting down and buckling my seatbelt.
“Many things.” He said before plopping down next to me.
“Do you have to sit next to me?” I groaned.
“Yes, honey. I do. We have to work things out to make this relationship work.” He said grabbing my hand.
“As I said before, shove it.” I said before snatching my hand away from him. We took off and as soon as we were able to move through the cabin I got up and walked to a couch.
“Ms. Winters, would you like something to drink?” The same flight attendant asked.
“Um, yes. A glass of sparkling cider, please.” I said smiling.
“How about you Mr. Avery?” She asked.
“A glass of water, please.” Liam, who I just noticed was sitting next to me, said with a small smile. She scurried off.
