Baby, Baby, Baby, Oh!

Liam and I decided to take a little vacation and go to Hawaii. It’s perfect here. The water is perfect, the weather is perfect, the view is perfect, everything is so perfect. Just one thing, we have to do one more interview before we can officially start our vacation.

“Liam, Athena. You’re on in 5.” The man said looking at us. We nodded. I fixed myself making sure I looked good.

“You look perfect.” Liam whispered in my ear before pushing me a little, so I could walk onto the stage. I pasted a smile on my face while I sat down. We were being interviewed by Jamie Andrews.

“Hello Liam and Avery.” Jamie said smiling.

“Hello Jamie.” Liam and I said in unison.

“Welcome to Hawaii. How are you liking it so far?” Jamie asked.

“I love it. Everything is so tropical and amazing.” I said bubbly.

“Yea, it’s a great vacation spot.” Liam added nodding.

“You guys are working on your vacation?” Jamie asked shocked.

“It’s really no problem. We love your show.” I said smiling.

“Well we love you guys, and I’m so happy to have you on my show today.” She said happily.

“We’re happy to be here.” Liam said nodding.

“So, during an interview a couple weeks ago you cleared up the whole fake relationship rumor. We can clearly see that you two are in love. So, you guys are high school sweethearts. Can you tell us what your relationship was like back in high school?” Jamie asked looking at both of us.

“Well we met when she accidentally bumped into me on the first day of high school.” Liam said smiling down at me.

“I wasn’t looking where I was going. I was trying to read a map to see where my class was, when I bumped into him.” I said defensively.

“Our books and papers went flying everywhere. Of course, being the gentleman I was, I helped her pick up her stuff before I picked up mine.” He said smiling.

“The whole time I was apologizing and trying to explain what happened. He kept telling me it was ok and stuff like this happens all the time. Finally, when everything was picked up we introduced ourselves.” I said laughing.

“And that’s when I saw her beautiful face for the first time. I knew that I wanted, no needed her to be mine. We became friends for the first half of the school year. I wanted us to be close before I made my move.” He said smirking.

“He made his ‘move’ when he asked me to the Winter Ball at school. I was so excited that I ran up and told my best friend, Cassie, immediately.” I said smiling.

“During the last slow dance of the night, I asked her to be my girlfriend.” He said looking at me.

“After that we fell hopelessly in love and for two years we were strong.” I said smiling.

“Until high school got the better of me and I did something really stupid. Then we broke up.” He said, his smile quickly fading.

“Then he got famous, then I got famous and we were famous for a couple of years. Finally our paths crossed again when I, again, bumped into him. This time, instead of knocking the books out of his hands, I spilled a bright blue smoothie all over his brand new white shirt.” I said embarrassed.

“I didn’t even care about the shirt. All I really kept thinking was how I couldn’t let her get away this time. That’s when I asked her out.” He said smiling down at me.
