“So, I must ask the question everyone is dying to know the answer to.” The preppy talk show host, Vanessa, said to me. I was doing a live interview on her talk show with Cassie on my side.
“Oh gosh.” I said pulling a wide, and fake, smile on my face. I knew what was coming up.
“Are you and Liam Avery a thing?” She asked slowly into the mike.
“Umm, no. We’re really just friends. I mean we’ve been on the same label for so long and never really hung out the whole time. So, no we are not dating.” I said before smiling.
“Are you sure? Because I think you two would look pretty cute together. Who agrees with me?” Suddenly the whole studio filled with applause. I fake laughed, when really all I was think was ‘that’s what everyone said when we actually were dating’ and ‘grrrr he’s such a dick. If only he could keep his pants zipped, I wouldn’t have to be in this predicament.’ I didn’t say either of those things. Instead, I laughed and forced myself to blush.
“I’m pretty sure we aren’t dating.” I said before adding a light giggle.
“What do you think of America’s Favorite Bad Boy?” She asked me smiling.
“I can’t lie. He’s incredibly attractive.” I said laughing while the studio applauded my answer. “A lot of people see him only for his good looks and bad boy persona, and I must admit that was me at one point, but after hanging out with him I realize that there is more to him than that. He’s actually really nice, and sweet, and funny. I never thought he’d be like that because of the headlines and rumors, but now I know better.” I said as everyone aww’d
“Do you see yourself possibly wanting to date him?” She asked.
“I don’t know. As I said before we’re just friends right now.” I said smiling.
“That’s all the time we have. Be sure to buy Teenage Dream’s new album Starstruck in stores today!” She said before the light dimmed and we walked off stage.
“Gosh. Enough of these Liam questions.” I groaned as we got into the limo that was taking us to school. Yes, we go to school. We take some college classes. It gives us a sense of normality being able to go to college like everyone else. Even if it’s just community college.
“You have to admit, you two do look cute.” Cassie said smiling at me. She’s always like Liam, she fully approved when we were going out and she never really fully hated him when we broke up. She wanted me to think reasonably, she wanted me to believe there was a really reason why he broke up with me and it wasn’t his intention to brake my heart.
“Really? Come on, not you too.” I said resting my head on my headrest.
“I’m sorry, but it’s true. I saw the picture from your little fake date thing and you two were adorable. You looked like how you did when you first started going out.” She said smiling.
“Whatever.” I grumbled as we reached the school. I hopped out of the limo and walked to my class. Great, a 3-hour long lecture. Just what I love the most. I trudged in the class and took a seat in the way back.
We were only an hour into the lecture and it fells like I’ve been her for an eternity. The minutes are ticking away way too slow to be possible. I suddenly felt my phone buzzing in my lap. My eyes immediately lit up, until I saw who was calling me. I put my head on my hand to hide my phone as I talked.
