My Ever After: A Bella and Edward Story

Part 12 (BPOV)

Today started out as a great day. Then Edward told me if it wasn't for Tyler loosing control of his van or for James wanting to kill me, we wouldn't be where we are now. But he loves me and for some strange reason was glad that those things happened. He just didn't like the fact that I was put in danger both times. I love Edward no doubt about it, and I'm glad we are where we are in life. I was going to be with him forever and that's all I needed. Him and our beautiful daughter.

Which now her life is in danger. Nahuel wants to take her from us. He has only met us once so I wonder why he wants her? Is it because she is the only half-breed that isn't his sister? I just know if he tries he won't succeed, Jake and Edward will make sure of that. Alice has probably already told Jake what just happened. He's probably getting ready to flip out. I hope not, since he's the one who is driving. We don't need him changing while in the truck.

"Edward call and make sure Jake is ok. I know Alice has probably told him what just happened. We don't need him getting upset and changing while he's driving."

Just then his phone beep. Text from Alice I'm guessing.

"Alice said she did tell him and only him. Nessie doesn't know what is going on. And Jake is fine. And you're right about Jake and I would kill Nahuel if it comes to it." Edward told me. "Don't worry Love they're not following us. Look there goes Jake's truck."

Edward's phone beeped again.

"Alice said Nessie is sleeping and they see us." Edward told me. I feel better knowing that Jake is ok and Nessie doesn't know what is going on. I just can't wait to get on the train and get out of Forks.

"Are you ok Love?"

"I'm better now that I know Jake is ok and Nessie doesn't know about what just happened. I just want to get on the train and get away for awhile." I told him. "I just want our family to be happy and not having to worry about the Volturi or anyone else trying to hurt us."

"It's ok Love. Nahuel won't get anywhere near Nessie. And we are happy. Aren't we?" Edward asked me.

"I don't know are we, Edward?"

"I hope we are. I'm happy with you and Nessie. I hope you're happy with me, too."

" I am happy with you and Nessie, but after this morning I've been thinking."

Oh no Edward got a very worried look on his face just then.

"Why did you wait so long to tell me?" I finished.

"Because I just didn't know what to say or how to say it. I didn't want to hurt you or make you think I didn't love you or that I'm not happy with our life. Come on let's catch up with the others. Everything will be ok. I love you and I'll make sure our family stays together no matter what it takes." With that said Edward grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him pressing hia lips softly to mine.

"Ok. Let's go. I don't want us to get to far behind."

We ran in quiet hand in hand for the next ten minutes when we came up to the train station. Now all we had to do was wait for Jake and them to pull in. Then we can go through luggage claim and get on the train.

It wasn't long before Jake's truck pulled in tbe parking lot. We unloaded the truck and headed inside. Jake carried the still sleeping Nessie. Alice handed everyone they're passport and ticket. The family got in the luggage claim line and then shortly after boarded the train. We had our own car on the train, so we was separated from the humans. Which was really nice. I don't think I could have traveled all the way to Alaska with the smell of human all around me. I know Jasper couldn't take it either.

Carlisle showed us the way to our private car. He and Esme donated money to the Settle Train Station and they offered us a private car. Which was really nice of Carlisle and Esme and the people who owned the station. The guys carried all of the luggage and us girls just had to follow. We even had two dressing rooms and our own dinning car that catered to our own personal food needs.
