Sarah have not heard from Clay all day. Every once in a while, she would check her phone to see if he has texted her or called her, but nothing. She worried that she may have gotten him into a whole lot of trouble by telling Andrew what she has seen, and even thought of going by his house to see if he was there but completely chickened out. She worried that there was a chance he found out that she snooped around his home and when he got in trouble, he got even more upset. For some reason she couldn’t regret snooping around, because some things were just best to be left unknown. He didn’t seem like a guy that would try to harm her, and she couldn’t help wanting to just hear his sooth English voice again.

There was just something about him that made her drawn to him.

Even while walking down the dark streets of New York in the rain, she missed him, and it hasn’t even been that long since last time she’s spoken to him. But with Tracy gone and now him, she felt so alone in the big city. She walked with her coat tightly against her, carrying a bag of new picture frames. She have already warned Tracy’s parents about the mess of the house and the torn up furniture, and Tracy’s father told her when he gets there he’ll take care of it all. She was grateful, but she didn’t feel as if it was right to have her best friend’s parents pay for her.

No. She was going to go and get a job soon. She couldn’t live like this.

She walked along the dark streets, this time actually knowing where she was going. The streets were empty, but she did manage to pass a few bars with people outside smoking. She walked passed an alley, as she grew closer to the apartment building, she started to dig her keys out, but when she heard a car alarm go off, it scared her to death. She spun around, watching as a car close to her was going off, lights flashing and the noise was so loud. She hurried to walk away, peaking back every once in a while.

Everything around her seemed to have grown even darker, the air grew thicker, and it was all making it hard for Sarah to breath-almost like she was being cornered. Her eyes darted all around her, her heart was pounding in her ears, making it hard to hear anything else.

But when the trash can poured over in front of her as she was walking by, she gasped and watched as a black cat screeched and took off. Sarah staggered back, holding her bags close and backing up. She exhaled shakily, knowing she needed to calm down. She had no idea why she was so freaked out over nothing, but she felt as if she really needed to get home and fast.

Her pace began to quicken until she got to the apartment, racing up the steps-tripping on a couple until she got to her place. You know that feeling when you are going up some steps or down a hall in your home and you get that feeling as if someone is watching you or is behind you? That was exactly how Sarah was feeling right now. Even as she entered her home, she felt that way. She put the bags down by the door, and started to take her jacket off but noticed that Tails wasn’t coming to greet her like she normally did.

“Tails?” She called out, putting her jacket on the coat hanger and walked around, looking under furniture and in rooms but could not find her. “Here girl~ Here Tails~” She cooed, going into her bedroom and looked around, but her eyes locked on the open window, that she knew she had closed. Her eyes widened, hurrying over and poked her head out, ignoring the rain. “Tails!” She called, looking down into the streets but did not see her. She pulled her head in, but left the window open in case she returned and she continued to look throughout her apartment, but could not find her.

Her heart raced, going to the door, grabbing her jacket and hurried out.

The rain began to pick up, soaking her quickly as she hurried down the streets, calling out Tail’s name, trying to find any signs of her but nothing. The thought of loosing her cat freaked her out, only making her run down the streets and calling out her name until a guy yelled at her to shut up from his own apartment. Biting her lip, she continued to walk until she saw something white hurrying into an alley. She quickly looked, seeing it was indeed Tails but was running fast into the alley. Sarah hurried to follow, peaking in but it was so dark. She reached for her keys and held up the tiny flashlight that hung from it. It wasn’t much light, but it did help some. She shined it into the alley, walking slowly down into it, whispering out Tails name, but she didn’t come into view. She looked behind trash cans, but saw no sign of her until she reached the end, seeing Tails hiding under a dumpster. “Tails?” She cooed, slowly moving to kneel down, but Tails scooted back under some more. Sarah narrowed her eyes. “What’s wrong, hon...?” But when the sound of a trash can being thrown over, she quickly stood, turning fast and moved to flash the light on whatever it was, but did not see anything there. “H-Hello?” She called out in a shaky voice, looking around and then saw a rusted pipe. She quickly grabbed it and held it, keeping the light on and looking around, but with such a tiny light and the strong darkness, it was hard to see anything. She looked down and saw Tails had went under the dumpster even more to hide and when she looked up, a male was standing in front of her. She gasped, moving to swing the pipe to hit him, but he dodged it and he kicked her hard in the gut, making her fall back against the wall, her hands on her stomach-feeling the breath being kicked out of her.
