I wrapped my yoyo around my wrists, helped Chat into a standing position, and wrapped his foot. It was still covered in a thick, rubber black boot, so it wouldn't help that much, but it would give him more support, keeping the sprained ankle in place.
"Ready?" He said, his eyes squinting from the pain.
"Yup..." I say, looking around, and placing Chat's arm around my shoulders, "Don't worry, Kitty, it'll work out fine." I murmur, reassuring myself more than him.
"I know." He says, looking at me with bright green eyes, and a smile twitching on his lips.
"Oh yeah? How?"
"Because you're here." His smile widens, and he squeezes my shoulders.
My face fills with color, and I feel myself brushing my bangs behind my ear, something I only do when I'm nervous. I mean, it looked a little weird because I had to bring both hands up, because my hands were still tied together, but it worked.
"Let's go." He says, leaning on me for support, only walking on his good foot. "Uh..." He stops, looking around, "How are we gonna get to the street level?"
"Marinette won't mind..." I say as I pull open the trap door, "I hope..."
Yes, that's me. Keeping my identity a secret in very obvious ways.
"Okay." He says, standing on one foot as I jump down the ledge. I then hold my hands out to him, to support his jump down onto the balcony.
"Let's just hope that I don't roll the other ankle." He winks as he hops down, landing on one foot like some fancy yoga pose, spreading his arms straining for balance.
"Whoa, there, Kitty." I say, grabbing one of his shoulders. This yoyo was starting to get annoying... "Don't fall down on me. I'm not as strong as you are."
"Are you calling me fat?" He gasps mockingly, covering his mouth.
I roll my eyes, and let go of his shoulder.
I prop up the trap door, and then walk over to Chat Noir, letting him lean on me for support. He hops over to the stair case, and looks down.
"You sure she won't mind?"
"Mmhm." I say, placing my foot on the first step. "Me and Marinette are like this..." I say, crossing my fingers, and holding it up to show Chat.
Literally. I internally sigh.
"Ookay. But I'm telling them it was your idea..." He says, cautiously starting the journey down the staircase.
Once we reach inside my room, I hurry him into the hallway, down another set of stairs, and out the bakery doors, narrowly missing my mom and dad.
Also, I didn't need Chat Noir judging me on my Adrien fetish.
"Okay, we're going to need to look like you're the one in control. That means walking on two feet and... Tormenting me or something..." I say, walking in front of him, he grabs my shoulder, inconspicuously using me as support while looking like he's directing where I stumble.
"Uh..." He starts to say, "Where do we go?" He looks around, scanning rooftops.
"You're a terrible minion." I murmur, palming my face.
"That's because I'm only your minion."
I roll my eyes. "What happened to all of your puns? Now you're just making stupid jokes..."
"Oh don't worry, they're trying to claw their way out. I'm trying to contain them... For your sake, entirely."
I look back at him, my eyebrows raised, and he winks at me. I turn my reddening face away. Gosh, if that man snuck up behind us, he wouldn't believe Chat was under his spell for a...
All of a sudden, Chats grip tightens around my shoulder, his claws digging into my skin.
I yelp.
"Don't hurt her... Kitty." That man!
Chat's grip loosened. He wasn't as in control as I thought he was.
I felt something boiling in my stomach.
I was the only one aloud to call him Kitty! I thought angrily.
Then I shook my head. That was a silly reason to get all fired up about. Argh, but it was so easy to just give in and feel the heat of anger.
"Ladybug... So much... Stronger than I realized..." He contemplated, "It'll be fun seeing you break."
I shuddered. This man had some serious trauma in his life. This wasn't okay.
"Oh," Chat begins to say, his voice not even hinting at anger, "I've been meaning to ask you, but," Chat touched his hand to his head, and then gestured outwards, "it's just slipped my mind, what's your name?"
"My... Name?" He asked, bewildered.
Yeah, I thought, smiling internally, he causes that emotion a lot.
"Mmhm." Chat nodded his head enthusiastically.
"Hmm." The man said, sliding his hand down his cheek, "You know... I haven't really thought about it."
"What about... Latred...? Hmm?" Chat says, glancing around, looking for praise. I just roll my eyes. This was by far the strangest encounter we have had with an Akuma.
"Latred?" The man says, scrunching up his face in confusion.
"Yeah... Cause you know," he turned to face me, "I've been thinking about this a lot actually," Then turns back to the man, "you turn Love into Hatred. So, it's a combination of the two, but where Hatred is stronger, or more dominant."
The man's eyebrows furrow, "You know... That's actually pretty good. I might just keep you around after I take your Miraculous's, for humor."
"Well..." Chat begins to say, grabbing at my arms, untying my yoyo, "You see, we can't let you do that. Cause we're the good guys..."
I finish for him, as I swing my yoyo around in a circle, and Chat expands his staff to the length of a sword, also twirling it around like a dancer's baton, "And we don't let bad guys get away."
