"We need to..." I start to say as our Miraculous's beep simultaneously.
"Uh oh." Chat murmurs, grinning up at me.
"Don't grin at me, Chat Noir... We need to find a way to get you off this roof."
Chat was still propped up on his elbow, and I had forgotten about Latred, or rather, just the man still huddled in a ball.
"Wait here."
"Do you have to keep telling me that when I'm seriously injured?"
I roll my eyes, and jog over to the man.
I extend a hand to him.
"Excuse me, sir... I'm Ladybug." I smile at him as he looks up at me.
"Oh... I know who you are... My- my daughter loves you." He stutters, and wipes away tears he didn't know he had.
"I'm flattered," I blush, smiling, "Uh, I'm here to help you off the roof... If that's okay."
"Oh! Yes, yes." He says, accepting my hand and standing up. "Thank you."
I nod my gratitude, and I grab him in a tight hold, and then swing off the roof, landing him steadily on his two feet. He thanked me one more time before I swung back up to the roof to see to Chat Noir.
I was glad the man didn't talk like that normally.
Also, I was glad because it was a lot easier swinging around and stuff now that Tikki wasn't all crazy.
"Now we need to get you off this roof." I say, looking down at his splayed out body. "Wow... Just making yourself at home."
"Huh?" He grunts, looking up at me, squinting in the sunlight.
Another beep from our Miraculous's.
"We don't have time right now!" I groan at the ground.
"C'mere." I say, crouching down next to him.
He puts his casted arm over my shoulder, followed by an uncasted one.
"We've got time." He murmured restlessly.
"This... Is probably going to hurt." I say as I get up from my crouch, Chat's legs dragging across the hard, rocky roof.
"Let me see your legs. I'll give you a piggy back ride."
He holds his legs up, and I scoop them up into a strong hold, walking towards the edge of the roof.
"Let me see your staff." I say as one of his arms lets go of it's hold, and hands me his staff.
I grab it with one hand, releasing on of Chat's legs, leaving it dangling on the ground.
"Let's see if this works." I say, while expanding the rod over the side of the building until it touches the pavement below. Chat wraps both legs around my waist as I let go of his other leg, and hold tight to his staff, sliding down it like a fireman's pole.
"Ah, pretty slick." He says, once I set him down.
"Yeah, maybe I should be Chat No-"
I stop suddenly as our Miraculous's beep.
"I'll call an ambulance..." I say, beginning to back away from him.
His eyes shown with disappointment. I shut my eyes tight, pivoted, then started sprinting away, turning the next corner on the street.
A final beep, and Tikki emerged from my earrings, my civilian clothes reappearing on my skin.
"What happened?" She asked, spinning in a lazy circle, dizzy.
"We got the bad guy?"
"Good." She smiles at me. "Oh! Don't forget to call the ambulance for Chat Noir!" She says, excitedly.
I don't know why she was excited about Chat Noir needing an ambulance, but...
I search for my phone through my coin purse, and dial an ambulance, telling the operator that a boy was hurt... Again.
