It was a normal day in your summer break during elementary school and your classmate Nagisa was inviting you to play somewhere together today. You agreed to the idea without him trying to convince you. The blonde boy walked you home to tell your mother about your inviting to play with your childhood friend. She allowed you to go with him, but you had to be home at dawn when the sun was going to go down. You shouldn't play outside in the dark, so promised her to be back then. You both laughed while you were running out of the house again. First, you were playing at the street where no car was driving since you lived in a quiet and small village. But after drawing some stars and hearts and rainbows on the streets, Nagisa had another idea.
"(Y/n)-chan!", Nagisa said suddenly and stood up. You looked up to him in confusion with an open mouth.
"Do you want to play hide and seek?", he asked and smiled widely and innocent like he is. You gave it a short thought and then smiled back to him. Your small friend took it as a yes and his eyes sparkled in the sunlight.
"I will show you a good place to play it! Come!", he spoke and held out his hand for you to help you standing up. You grabbed his hand and stood up, he tightened the grip on your hand and looked into your big (e/c) eyes.
"Close your eyes, okay? I want to surprise you!", Nagisa told you and you closed your eyes as he wished. He took a deep breath and then run in one direction and pulling you with him. You almost fell some times, but Nagisa catched you or you held yourself back from falling. After some time, your breath was heavy and you had no power to run some steps anymore.
"N-Nagisa! H-Hold on! I can't anymore..", you stuttered out of breath and he stopped running.
"Okay, you can open your eyes again", he said and you opened your eyes. Completely shocked you look around you several times. You were scared in any way.
"Nagisa... where are we?", you whispered harshly, and looked up to the trees which got no leave on their branches. They seemed dead, their trunks were all pale brown and not like a normal living and healthy tree. Also, they were so big and thin. You felt uncomfortable by standing in the center of this trees.
"In the woods", he simply answered and smiled.
"This isn't funny... I'm scared", you replied and looked on the ground embarassed and afraid. You hated woods since the beginning. Mostly this dead seeming ones.
"You know my mommy said so much times that I shouldn't go here, because it's dangerous", you added and looked to him.
"Oh, c'mon~! She won't find out that you're here! Also, it's a good place to play hide and seek", he grinned innocently at you with closed eyes. You let out a sigh.
"Okay, one round and then you get me back home!", you said. You felt more uncomfortable. You felt like someone was watching you.
"I have a bad feeling about this..", you mumbled to yourself.
"What?", the magenta eyed boy asked, but you just said it's nothing. You were supposed to hide first and as Nagisa started counting to 30, you ran far away so he would never expect you to hide somewhere far away from him since he knew you are scared easily. But you wanted to win this round. You giggled as you hid behind a fallen tree trunk.
He'll take some time to find this place, you thought.
But as you heard this silence and after a while branches cracking, you felt so scared. You tried to stop thinking about bad things and imagining that it was just an animal. There's no way a murderer or a child abuser would come in the woods, especially not this one, is there?
"Found you", you heard someone whisper next to your ear and felt a sharp, cold thing on your neck. Your eyes wide open and shocked, you identified Nagisa's voice, but it wasn't the innocent one. It was more of a bad, heavy one. You started shivering and you were speechless.
"Did you think I wouldn't look everywhere for you? How stupid you are...", he whispered again, and you weren't able to move anymore. He held the sharp thing closer to your neck. You felt it on your skin. It was cold. Drops of sweat were running down your back. What was he planning to do? You swallowed all the saliva created in your mouth.
"The round is over now", he continued and smirked, "Forever over."
I don't know, I thought of it yesterday in class as my English teacher talked about our oral exams which were today and she was showing us some pictures. On one was a forest, so yeah. Imagine yourself what happened in my head.✌
