A Slayer's Confidant

Chapter 10

Naruto stretched as he let out a loud, wide yawn. He then jumped into bed –literally—and immediately cuddled with his pillow. He missed the orphanage with Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon. He missed Iruka most of all. However, with meeting his brother and learning things about Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro that he didn't know at all was the epitome of his life. Naruto had visited Temari before he had gotten into bed. He remembered bandages wrapped around her and a blonde woman and another young blonde haired girl doing everything they can to help her. Thankfully, Temari had pulled through and would be healthy enough to fight after a few days of rest.
Naruto's eyes were slowly closing a few moments before he had caught someone in his room. He noticed the emotionless red eyes that he knew were once black. "Sasuke?" He asked. A nodded of the person's head was his only response. Naruto smiled softly and patted his bed, gesturing for the raven to sit down. "Shouldn't you be resting? You're wounded." Naruto continued.
"I'm fine." Sasuke retorted. "Sakura did enough for my body to finish the process. All demons are able to regenerate their bodies. It's not uncommon." Naruto nodded.
"Oh..." Cerulean orbs looked up at Sasuke. "A-Are you sure?" Sasuke stayed quite for a few moments before he nodded his head as his answer. He grunted, causing Naruto to twitch in annoyance. This caused the blonde haired boy to punch Sasuke hard in the arm. "Hey, you asshole, I'm trying to find out if your okay since  you had a freaking hole in your gut and you could have died!" This caused Sasuke to chuckle a little bit.
"I'm not going to die. My body is able to heal very quickly from even the simplest of wounds. Besides, this is nothing from what I've sustained in the past from saving..." Sasuke's words died.
"My past self who had died and reincarnated as a man - meaning me." Naruto finished. Sasuke nodded.
Naruto put a hand onto Sasuke's pale one that had been gripping the sheets. His eyes widened when he saw flashes of what looked like memories of Sasuke from when he was young to when he was older and in love. But it stopped as soon as Sasuke took his hand away. Naruto felt shivers travel up his spine as tears of sadness fell down his cheeks. Sasuke stared at Naruto confused. "What's wrong?" He asked. Naruto smiled sadly.
"You went through a lot didn't you, Sasuke? Because of me...you went through so much pain." Naruto replied. Sasuke scowled at him.
"My pain was nothing. I'm still here I waited for you and now I am going to stay. I am not betraying you." Naruto...

"Thank you, Sasuke." Naruto whispered. He slowly fell back, his head falling into the pillow as he finally drifted off to sleep. Sasuke watched as the seconds ticked by. He slowly leaned down and lightly touched Naruto's lips. Sasuke sat up quickly hearing footsteps coming toward Naruto's room. He immediately teleported outside the window using his levitation ability. Levitation was a very uncommon power – very rare. It required a lot of concentration in order for Sasuke to lift himself off the ground. Throughout the years, however, Sasuke learned to control his ability and was stable enough to stay levitated for long periods of time. The Uchiha clan was a very powerful and noble demon clan. The abilities of the clan mostly relied upon its user. However, like the Hyuga clan –who were a clan of demons slayers – the Uchiha clan had a very special ability that revolved around their eyes. The sharingan.

The sharingan vastly enhances the user's perception to the point where it allows him or her to copy another's movements or even supernatural abilities. Only direct members of the clan can master the sharingan eyes. The sharingan can also allow the person to induce hypnosis and cause paralysis.
Sasuke sighed as he turned his head to look up at the black star painted sky. He lightly touched his lip with his fingertips, the taste of ramen meeting his tongue as he ran it along his lips. His face twisted slightly in disgust realizing someone else had kissed the blonde as well. Sasuke didn't care though, he had a plan to reclaim the heart of his lover, and he didn't care if Naruko was a man now. Sasuke decided now was the time to go to bed considering he wanted to get up early and train. Karin was going to pay for what she had done to Temari. She was going to pay for what she had planned to do to Naruto to get to him.
