A Slayer's Confidant

Chapter 7

Three days past since Temari's kidnapping.  Everyone moved on according to plan which Gaara had formed with the help of Kankuro. The two had noticed that Temari could be under Kabuto's control by now, but there's no telling that Karin would go by her word. Naruto had decided to stay away from school for a few days, leaving him to stay with Hinata, Shino, and Kiba while Gaara and Kankuro got any homework that his teachers were going to give him. "Naruto, dude, you need to stop worrying about Temari," Kiba said. Cerulean orbs glared at Kiba.

"Shut up." Naruto snapped.

"What's gotten into you?" Kiba asked.

"I don't like just sitting here." Naruto responded. "I mean, it's not like Temari is just going to show up unhar-," Naruto gasped when Temari suddenly appeared in front of him. "T-Temari!" The blonde haired girl grinned at him.

"Hey, Naruto!"

Naruto grinned and shot up from where he was sitting on the bed and readied himself to launch at Temari. He was stopped by Kiba whose eyes narrowed skeptically. "Wait a second." Kiba said. "Temari is only known to have mental shield and aerokinesis. This caused Temari -Suigetsu- to stiffen. Shit, they're on to me! Suigetsu thought, frantically.

"Kiba's right, it's not likely that someone would just up and appear and effectively learn a new power." Shino said, stepping in front of Naruto as well. Hinata was behind the blonde haired boy, though she was ready to do whatever it took to get Naruto to safety. Suigetsu slapped himself mentally. He was now Temari but he didn't have her powers and he couldn't manipulate them. Still, he knew that Karin and Kabuto were somewhere in Konoha waiting for him to lead Naruto and the rest of the group to the school at midnight. Shino crossed his arms. "Slayers aren't like certain level demons. You would have to be a very, very powerful to have power replication. And Temari doesn't have that."

Hinata analyzed Temari, her eyes narrowing skeptically as well. She glanced quickly at Akamaru who began growling at the girl. Hinata frowned. Something's not right here... Abruptly, Karin's face flashed in front of her eyes. The vision continued to show the real Temari with severe injuries while under Kabuto's control. It was then that Sasuke was suddenly in her vision as well. Sasuke's awake now. She thought. Karin must be trying to get Sasuke to come as well. Hinata concluded the vision of the future faded away.

Suigetsu growled mentally. He knew Karin had said to capture them if his cover was blown. Of course, his cover was blown and he was deciding whether to capture the or not. Suigetsu shifted his one arm into water and aimed a Naruto, effectively pushing Hinata out of the way. He yanked Naruto toward him until the blonde's back was against "Temari's" chest – since he was still Temari. "What are you doing?" Naruto asked, eyes widened. Temari snorted and shifted back to the original form as Suigetsu. Hinata's eyes widened.

"What the hell do you think you're do—" Naruto didn't get to finish the question since Suigetsu had knocked him out. The white haired male noticed the other three coming towards him. A grin spread across his face. That was when Hinata felt her body come to a complete halt before it started twitching wildly. Kiba's eyes widened as he watched in horror as the girl was tortured from the inside out. Suigetsu stopped manipulating the water in the girl's body.

"Think of that as a warning. Karin says she wants to see you at midnight tonight. She's getting kind of bored of waiting." Hinata fell to her knees, shaking violently. Her wide eyes laced with horror. The thought of death passing through her mind. Naruto woke up with a pounding headache. He knew that Temari wasn't the real Temari. "Well, I guess this is goodbye since you figured it out." Suigetsu grinned. "See ya at midnight, don't be late!" With that, Suigetsu disappeared, teleporting to who knows where.
