Chapter 17

Hello, my friends! I can't believe I have over 600+ views! I'm so happy and very very surprised. It's awesome. Thank you thank you. Now, I have an announcement to make, this story is ALMOST complete. Almost. Not quite yet. So keep on reading. There will be a lot of fight and flashbacks (meaning throughout the rest of the novel)  because I want to explain still the connection everyone has with Naruto's past life, Naruko. You all know now that Naruto has regain his memories back from the past and there was a little bit of an explanation between Naruko and Sasuke.

Naruto frowned as he felt something very familiar. He had regain the memories from his past life but had not regain all of his powers, though the powers that he already had had become stronger and he could feel Karin's emotions just from fighting with her. Naruto coughed, blood trickling down his chin. He shook with insane excruciating pain. He looked at Sakura who laid on the floor dead, her blood pooled around her. Sakura, Naruto thought. I'm so sorry that I couldn't save you.
Naruto's eyes widened as the girl he thought was dead slowly got up. But when he looked at her further he realized she was dead, it was some kind of power that was bringing her back to life. Sakura walked over toward him. She grabbed him by the neck and squeezed it. "S-Sa-" he choked out, gasping for air. "St-Stop." Why was he trying to speak to her? She's dead. Why? Why? Why?
Naruto closed his eyes ready to embrace death. He didn't care how he would die, he just knew it was the end of him now. Finally Naruto fell to the ground. The pain fading away from his neck as he coughed heavily and loudly. A black flash caused him to feel immensely relieved. "S-Sasuke!" He cried out. Sasuke had come for him finally. But to his surprise and disappointment, the person wasn't Sasuke. He looked like Sasuke but he wasn't a demon. Sasuke didn't control paint with his mind either. "U-Um who are you?" He asked. The other boy looked at Naruto with a fake smile.
"My name is Sai, forgive me if you don't remember me. I'm a demon slayer like the rest of them except for Sasuke. We've come to get you out of here Naruto." Naruto nodded and struggled to get up. It was then that Sai took his left arm and put around his neck, acting as a crutch. Naruto smiled thankfully as they slowly walked over to the animated painting that Sai had created. Strange, he thought. I remember mostly everyone but I still don't know others. As he and Sai got onto the bird, Sakura came back using the full extent of her power. Naruto gasped threw up his arms and all of the sudden wind came swirling around him again. It seemed stronger than the power that Sakura had because it blew the girl away until she hit the wall hard. That's okay right? She's supposed to be dead. "Sakura's supposed to be dead?" Sai asked. Naruto looked at him confused. His eyes dropped as his vision began fading. He felt dizzy. "Naruto?" Sai inquired. His eyes widened as the boy fell back onto the bird. "Naruto!"

"A-Achoo!" A little girl sneezed as she tried catching her breath, running away from bullies because of her abilities. Why-Why are they so mean to me? She asked herself as far tears gathered in her eyes.
"Hello!" A voice cried. The little girl jumped, crying out. Her eyes widened, startled at the blonde girl who just continued smiling at her. "Why are you crying?" She asked. Redness covered the other's face.
"I-I'm not-not crying!"
"Well you don't have to worry about those meanies anymore. I got them for you." She smiled. "My name's Naruko, what's yours?" Light purple eyes stared at Naruko.
"Hinata. My n-name's Hinata..."

Hinata shook in severe pain as blood dripped down her chin. She forced her legs to lift her up. Wobbly, she pressed her hand onto the bleeding cut she had on her arm. She looked over her shoulder to see her unconscious cousin being healed by Ino while Shizune was with Sasuke and the others. Sai had gone to find Naruto hoping to get him before anyone else could. She had hoped he wasn't too late. Her eyes widened in shock as a sudden vision of the future clouded her eyes. She screamed feeling the electricity zap her, causing electrical burns all over her body.
"Hinata!" Ino cried, as she watched her friend nearly fall to the ground. Ino smiled happily as the girl managed to catch herself. The boy, that was fighting Hinata, Ino didn't know what to think of him. She remembered him from the very beginning when Naruto had first met Sasuke and everything was coming at him like a huge tidal wave. Ino blinked confused. The boy wasn't doing anything. Hinata was getting injured by his attacks but he was just standing there. What is this guy's power? She thought to herself. Ino's eyes widened when she realized she could move. She had lost her the feeling in her fingers. I... I can't move! She screamed panicked. Then a sudden wave of electricity passed her hitting the person that was paralyzingly her. She had feeling again after a few minutes. She smiled. "Sasuke!" She yelled. Her smile fade when she noticed the horrible wound on his shoulder. "Oh my god, Sasuke, your injured!" She got up, a little wobbly and walked over toward him. Sasuke stopped her, holding his hand up.
"I'm fine. Shizune healed it and stopped the bleeding. Where's Sai?"
"He went to go find, Naruto." Ino replied. "Assuming we're not too late." Sasuke's  heart dropped into his stomach. His face went pale, hoping that what Ino had said wasn't true. Naruto isn't going to die again. Not when there are so many people care about him.
"Sasuke!" Two voices cried his name. Sasuke turn to see Itachi and Kyuubi  running towards him. Kyuubi's eyes were red with the pupils slitted. His teeth were gritted out of anger. A burning red flame blanketed his hand as he punched the person that was supposed to protect Naruto. "You son of bitch!" Kyuubi cried. Sasuke blinked as he touched his face. He was confused as to why Kyuubi's eyes were that of a demon's.
"Kyuubi," Ino said, with scolding eyes. "What is wrong with you?" Kyuubi growled, unable to answer the question. He averted his gaze to the ground. Ino sighed and walked over to Sasuke and began to heal him.
"Don't-"
"Sasuke. Shut. Up." Ino stated. Sasuke felt shivers run up his spine. He submitted himself to the girl for now and made a vow not to make her angry. I didn't know girls could be so... Sasuke shook his head. He refused to admit to himself that Ino was pretty weird. "Sasuke," Ino caught his attention. "I can hear you." Sasuke frowned.
"When did you start reading minds?"
"Since we were little you dummy!" Ino sighed. "I'm serious. Let me heal you or else I'll put you under paralysis and force you to get healed by me whether you demons can heal fast or not." She continued to heal Sasuke. Then something else caught his attention. It was Sai. The concerning part was Naruto. Where was he? Sai landed in front of him.
"We don't have much time," The boy said. "Naruto's critically injured and they may be coming after us soon. Get all the injured on my bird." Sasuke was about to say something but seeing Naruto bloody and unconscious made his heart ache. He got on to the bird sitting next to Itachi and Kyuubi. Ino and Shizune were in charge of handling the healing parts.
"Where's Temari and the others?" Hinata asked.
"They got hold back at the entrance. Luckily this was quick and easy for us." Sai sighed. "Don't worry, we'll be picking them up soon."
Sasuke stared at Naruto as Ino and Shizune were healing his wounds.
"I don't understand," Sasuke suddenly spoke. He looked immediately at Kyuubi who raised an eyebrow. "Why are you of demon race and Naruto his not. Does that mean that one of your parents was a demon?" Kyuubi's eyes widened. He figured it out. Kyuubi nodded, closing his eyes.
"I'm a half demon. Naruko was completely human taking after our father but she was special because she had supernatural powers like any other slayer would. The only problem with that was that she couldn't kill demons unless they had the intent to kill her. Of course they did anyway. It's just I had to keep the demon part hidden knowing if she knew then they'd want her dead more than they did already. It's that simple, Orochimaru has always wanted Naruko and my family dead. But with Naruko reincarnated, his plans are foiled for now." Kyuubi finished, frowning.
"Honestly, I don't give a dog's ass about why you are or aren't or even what you're half of. We need to protect Naruto and that's that." Kiba said and Sasuke scowled, crossing his arms. Everyone else agrees with him, even Itachi and Kyuubi.
"Right!" As everyone became one with each other as friends, they managed to pick up the rest of the gang who had stayed behind. Temari, Gaara, and Kankuro were the first to be picked up. Gaara couldn't even stand much less use what energy he had left to punch Sasuke in the face when he saw Naruto lying there unconscious, bloodied and bruised.
"You son of a bitch!" Gaara screamed. He groaned when a spark of pain crawled up his spine. Ino took hold of the red head's shoulders and pushed him down.
"Gaara, don't talk! You're severely injured. You'll make yourself bleed again if you keep getting angry with Sasuke! Now lay down and shut the hell up!" She yelled. Gaara scowled, turning his head to avoid the girl's gaze. He hated getting injured like this and having to deal Ino and the annoying fact that he was seriously injured. He turned to Ino, hearing her sigh. "Listen here, I only have so much energy left. We lost one of our healers and now we're only down to three. I don't know how much longer I can do this for." She explained. "After I heal your brother and Temari, I'm going to rely on you to take care of yourself, Gaara. Besides Naruto, you got pretty serious wounds. You out of all of us must be put to bed rest as soon as we get back, got it?" She asked. Gaara didn't answer. He only grunted.
"Gaara, answer me." Ino growled. Gaara huffed. He shook in pain as he tried to sit up. Ino's eyebrows furrowed in worry.
"Gaara, please lay down." She sighed. Gaara shook his head. He needed to get up. He needed to get to Naruto. He needed to hold him. He wanted to hold him. But he can't. He couldn't hold him. He could hear Ino's voice fading away -becoming inaudible as his vision began to blur. It wasn't long before he hears Ino shout his name and darkness had blanketed his eyes.
Ino turned Gaara over. She checked his pulse and listened to his breathing. He was unstable. Damn it! She screamed. "Sai can't you move this thing any faster? Who else do we need to pick up?"
"We need to find Kakashi!" Sai replied. "What's wrong?"
"Gaara passed out. His breathing's unstable! We need to get to Tsunade fast!" Sai nodded. He instantly created another creature then landed them both. "This should get you back safely. Get Gaara there and fast okay?" Ino blinked.
"Wait, why am I going alone?"
"You're not. Sasuke, Kyuubi, Itachi and the others are going with you. I must find Kakashi. No one must be left behind right?"
"I-I guess." She sighed. Sai smiled a genuine smile that was only for her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in for a quick passionate kiss. Ino blushed. "Wha-What was that for?"
"I love you, Ino. I'll see you at the mansion." Ino smiled and hopped on to the other creature Sai had created along with the others. Then they finally went their separate ways.

You know, my life is a soap opera. Do you know why? BECAUSE IT IS, that's why!! Three years ago I lost my grandmother, how fun was that? No fun at all considering I wasn't part of the drama that went with it. Then later on my junior year (very early May I add) I lost my cat. THEN! I learned there was a new member coming into my family and he didn't live to be one years old! The only thing that's keeping me busy is my writing and my crafts. I can't believe this happened in the first place. My nephew did not deserve this. 😡😡😡
