Sakura exhaled heavily. Her energy was being drained from using so much of her healing ability. Her heart and soul was poured into the process. Orochimaru's wounds were severe, she remembered, vividly. She knew she wasn't in the right mindset. She knew for a fact that she was wrong. Her heart told her this. She was very wrong for doing this to her friends. She wanted to kill Orochimaru and say to Naruto that she was sorry. She wanted to say that even though she loves Sasuke, she would never make him hers by breaking the two apart. She also knew how Ino felt inside. She knew that Ino loved Sasuke too. Her love for Sasuke, though, was different. Ino, as much as she wanted to she couldn't imagine life without Sasuke even though Ino had soon realized that side was her true confident. Sakura even remembered her speaking about Naruko and that she hoped that she, Naruko, would find her confident.
To Sakura's surprise, Naruko did. She had found Sasuke. A demon who betrayed his clan. It was rumored that he had murdered his clan but it wasn't him. It was also rumored that two Uchiha had become treacherous and betrayed the clan. That wasn't the case either. It was someone different that had betrayed the clan as well. His name was Madara Uchiha, Sasuke and Itachi's great uncle. Sakura remembered the Uchiha clan being powerful. She remembered that they had an alliance with the clan before the ambush was to be taken place. Under Naruko's father, Madara Uchiha was his advisor. However, when it was said that Madara was to be replaced by Sasuke's father whom was Madara's nephew, that was when the clan was murdered. The only ones left alive were Itachi and Sasuke.
Everyone was young back then. No one had control of their full powers. It was two and a half years later that Naruko and Sakura met. She was always mean to her but it soon grew to be a special friendship especially when Sasuke came into the picture.

Sakura walked down the hall dressed in a red ball gown. Her hair tied into a messy bun with braids circling it. Bits of her hair stuck up but it was okay because that was the style she liked. She walked down the halls searching each room for Naruko because her father was ready to dance with her. "Lady Naruko!" She cried. "Lady Naru..." Sakura's eyes widened at what she saw in the very room she found them in. Lord Madara's nephew? Sakura thought to herself questionably. Why is she dancing with Sasuke? That was supposed to be mine. Sakura frowned thinking this. It wasn't that she wasn't happy for Naruko, it was just that she was thinking the same thing. She wanted to grow a demon rose that attracted a demon to find her confidant. Instead all it was good for was for making an antidote. In her hair, the rose was tucked behind her ear. She had taken the thorns off. But as she took out to see if it would glow, it didn't. Instead it withered away, it's petals falling to the ground one by one.
A tear fell down Sakura's cheek. Sakura hid behind the door, quickly activating her mental shield. Her heart ached as her chest heaved heavily. I... I feel like crying, She thought, frowning deeply. She dropped the stem of the withered rose and was tempted to leave. She remembered, however, that she had to tell Naruko that her father required her attention. She knocked on the door, catching the attention of Naruko and the demon next to her. "Lady Naruko, your father has requested a dance." Sakura said. Naruko smiled brightly.
"Alright, would you like to dance with me next Sasuke?" Naruko asked. Sakura watched as the demon gave the blonde girl a genuine smile. Her eyes widened at the emotions that shines in his eyes. He's in love with her... She thought. Sakura sighed deeply as she followed behind Naruko and Sasuke. She couldn't help but feel very jealous of Naruko. How could she get a demon to fall for her with a rose? Was the demon truly her confidant? Sakura felt jealousy nudge at her. It was nothing more than a mere coincidence that Naruko could get a demon to fall for her unless this was love from the beginning. Sakura shook her head. I need to stop thinking about it... She thought. Naruko is my friend I should be happy not jealous. Sakura sighed as she walked toward the extravagant ball room where people were dancing and eating and drinking.
