Wind swept through your hair as you stood perched on the top of the balcony of the lair. Paris spread below you, nearly a blur in the distance. A small speck that was insignificant. You didn't see the importance of it.
Hawk Moth stepped outside to join you, carrying his staff with dignity and pride.
You turned around, wearing new attire. Purple wisps of fabric engulfed your lower half to form a flowing dress which ended at your knees. Black swirls emerged from the hips, traveling up you to form a silky black tube top.
"Why were you watching me back there?" You asked your dad, turning around to lean against the balcony bars.
He laughed as if it you had said something funny, rocking back and forth slowly.
"I knew this would happen, I just wanted you to see for yourself. At the time, I figured you wouldn't believe me. Of course, with our heritage, I doubt he'd ever forgive you." He sympathized, trying to hide a smile.
You were oblivious to his words of course, running shaking fingers through your straight hair.
"I just still can't believe it..." You choked out. "..but it is what it is I guess."
Pausing for moment, you felt your heart harden into stone, no longer feeling any emotion.
"They all have to pay. Each and every one of them."
You clenched your hands into fists, anger and hatred bubbling inside you.
In an empty shop
"Me-ouch." Chat Noir exclaimed, crossing his arms across his chest. "And you didn't know this until just then?"
"No, she said she moved here from up North...that sneaky..." Nathanael started, bearing his teeth.
They were hiding out in an empty coffee shop, unconscious bodies littered everywhere. The sight was sickening, but they had to meet somewhere. It was too risky to attack straight on. Out of all their years serving Paris, they had never attacked Hawk Moth straight on. The three miraculouses had decided to group together to devise a plan, and hopefully, a successful one.
The three of them stood around a coffee table, depressed and stressed. Nathanael was on the verge of collapsing, and all of them were aware of their secret identities.
Chat Noir peered over at Ladybug to see her staring at him with grief, knowing that they might not survive long enough to discuss more friendly topics. *ladynoir detector beeps violently*
Nathanael stayed rooted to the spot, fuming with heartbreak and regret.
He felt broken.
And so did you.
*this is a super fast paced moving story, so I'm sorry if these chapters aren't 1000+ words. Although, I try to make them special so that I don't elaborate on someone eating a piece of corn, and get sidetracked.*
*Edit: corn isn't very interesting to read about ;)*
