[Autumn]
As I walked to the Training building, I could barely keep my emotions steady. I had to deal with Layla's drama with me becoming a Warrior in the first place, and hours upon hours of work with Genni and my trainer. All of these things piling up were making my head hurt.
After eating breakfast and quickly getting dressed, I rushed to the building, hoping that I wouldn't be late.
What kind of impression does it make when you're late on your first day?
I managed to catch up to Genni, who was a few feet ahead of me, and I started walking alongside her.
"Hey Genni." I stuffed my hands in my pockets.
She looked up at me and smiled. "Hey Autumn, ready for some hardcore training?"
"Ready as I'll ever be." I lied. Genni smirked. She could see right through me.
"You're nervous, don't worry...so was I. There's nothing to worry about, other than some other Outside operatives." She nudged me.
"What do you mean, other Outside operatives?" I asked, curious. I saw Genni smirk again.
"You'll see." She winked as we came upon the building.
As we opened the door and went inside, I immediately heard two voices yelling loudly.
Soon, we had stopped at the entrance of what you could call a gym. A man with ruffled hair with gray streaks walked in, panting, and holding a clipboard.
"Back for more huh?" His voice was deep. "I heard some of your friends were killed-"
Before he could finish, I heard the soft sobs of a girl. I turned around and saw a kid with her face in her palms, crying.
"Olive!!" The man yelled. The girl looked up, tears streaming down her face, but she was no longer crying. I wouldn't be either hearing the sound of his menacing voice.
"I understand that you have suffered a major loss...but this is where you can kiss that softness of yours goodbye. You are here for a reason, act like it." The room grew silent.
The girl, Olive, wiped away her tears and nodded, returning back to normal, her face emotionless, but I could still see that she was upset.
" Yes sir." Her voice was soft.
The man nodded in approval. "Okay...so before I let you in the gym, I would like to introduce a new girl, Autumn, from Community Orange." People started murmuring and I felt someone push me up to the front.
When I got to the front, I stood before around sixty people, all giving me deadly glares.
"However, Autumn is unlike any regular Blender. She dislikes Specials more than your parents do...so I expect that you all give her all your respect." The man informed them, even though people were still sending me daggers.
No one said anything, but I knew that they were going to give me a hard time. I walked back over to my spot beside Genni.
"I'm doomed." I whispered to her.
"You'll be fine Autumn. Just follow me." She whispered back as the entrance of the gym opened.
Everyone piled inside, nearly running me over.
Someone pushed me and I fell to the ground.
I stood up to see Genni shaking her head in disapproval.
