This story began after Judge Me Not but I lost the feel for it and continued with Painful Decision. It will not be as long as the other books maybe around 18 chapters. I just wanted to get it out of the way instead of hiding in my archives.

I have about five more stories in my vault and three more book ideas. If I had the time I would be writing all day but life calls...!

Again please no copying of my storyline that is just SAD and basically stealing!

Without further ado...Derick and Lian's story:

2006

'You jerk!' Lian screamed as she stormed out to the poolside. She headed straight for Derick who was lounging on a chair with his laptop as usual. The guy was a nerd who knew how to punch all her wrong buttons. She walked up to him and with hands on hips and began her tirade.

'How dare you rearrange the trip for tomorrow, I had already planned the itinerary, who are you to change it to suit your boring lifestyle.' She was so angry right now. 'I had already put a deposit on the dirt bike adventure and the para-sailing trip!"

She had arranged for their group to have a boat ride to a neighbouring island and spend the day touring it. Instead, this louse had cancelled the booking and pushed it back to the following day. The louse in question had neglected to even look at her; his dark hair was bent over his only love, his laptop. They were on Easter break and the guy was still working, as if he was the only one who had uni courses or deadlines.

'Hey! I am talking to you, look at me!' she demanded as her nemesis continued clicking away.

He finally stilled his fingers and looked up at her, his eyes reflecting his annoyance, he raised an eyebrow expectantly. 'Well?' came the almost surly reply.

'Well?' Lian repeated trying to keep a level head.

'Well,' Derick repeated not even looking at her. He continued to type away on his beloved laptop.

Lian took a deep breath, the guy knew how to annoy her.

'Derick, why did you change the booking without consulting anyone?' she decided to be polite and speak to him nicely, since by the looks of things this was the only way she could interact with him peacefully or else she would beat him down with a club if she had one.

He finally looked at her and frowned.

'You made it without telling anyone, and today I will be busy finishing my project so I changed it.' he said casually returning to his precious laptop.

How dare he reproach her! She thought.

'Just like that? For your own means, you are just unbelievable!' He was busily typing away ignoring her presence as he usually did which got her even more furious with him.

'You are always on that stupid computer, why did you come here in the first place, you should have stayed behind when you are around bad things always happen,' she was exasperated by now because he had continued to ignore her ranting and had even picked up speed on his work.
