Chapter ten

Sam breathed in the warm salty air on her beach. White, fine sand tucked around her toes comfortably. The ocean faced back at her greeting her to join it. It was tempting. The water was warm as it washed over her feet. Gently pulling her closer. She out stretched a foot, hesitating.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." A glassy voice said behind her causing her to jump.

"Would I ever come back?" Sam asked softly.

"It depends. If you walked in right now and found the life under there is better then the one you have now would you come back?"

Sam thought about it carefully, "I suppose that makes sense." She said slowly considering it.

"You imagination has a way of creating something only you would feel comfortable with. I suppose if you got lost in it, you'd never want to leave."

"And this place. Is just my imagination?"

"Or a place to escape from the unknown and known." The cool voice said.

Sam turned around to a tall being. The same one from her first visit here.

It's face was long and lean. It had cool pale blue eyes that pierced into your soul. A long elegant nose and long flowing chestnut hair that wrapped gracefully around it's face down to it's butt.

Sam stared in wonderment and awe.

"Who are you?"

"I come with many names Samantha. Dream walker, Soul Searcher, Necromancer, Ghost whisper. But you may call me Alicia." She smiled warmly down on Sam.

"Why are you here. In my dream? How do you know me?"

"Everyone is aware of the last Soul Snatcher. As for why I'm here? You tell me." Alicia whispered into the wind.

"What do you mean? I never called you here!"

"You did call my name. You may have not physically did but you did."

"What does that even mean?" Sam asked carefully.

"You need my help and I am here to help." Alicia nodded.

"Help with what?! I don't even know you!" Sam cried.

"Oh, but don't you?" Alicia raised her eyebrows.

Sam studied her. There was defiantly something familiar about her presence.

Alicia stared out in the wide mass if clear blue water. Wind blow gently through her hair whispering gentle words in her ear. She looked into that ocean like there was something she knew that Sam didn't.

"Will I be seeing you again?" Sam asked quietly.

Alicia looked at her amused. "If only you want me too. You can call me anytime you like."

"But where? How will I be able to reach you?"

Alicia bent down and pointed to Sam chest. "In here. With your soul of course! As for where, how about here. Let this be both if our little sanctuary."

Then Alicia walked away. Simple as that. Sam tried to catch up to her not wanting to loose her but more of curiosity of where she was going to.

Her foot came suddenly flying out from under her. She waited for sand to hit her face but she fell into nothing...

Sam sat upright in her bed. Beads of sweat poured down her face from her brow. She steadied her shaking breaths.
