(Cyrons POV)
Darren knuckles whitened from the strength he put into clutching a deadly knife. "I said I'd come for you, I never expected it to be so quick but now here I am." He took a step forward and hiss, "Ready for you payment?"
Cyron suppressed a scoff. He pushed the blankets off carefully, hoping his movement would not wake Sam from her sleep. He desperately wanted to hide her away from her boyfriends rage. Lock her away. Perhaps hide her under the four-poster bed.
He stood up not caring to cover his naked body and glowered at Darren. "How the hell did you know? Why couldn't you wait till morning?"
"You really want to set a schedule for when your going to die? Honestly your not in the position right now to be deciding things." The Monster growled ignoring his first question.
"I know what you are trying to do with Sam." Cy said boldly. Since he was about to die he might as well come clean about his knowledge about Darren.
"Shut up mutt, you don't know shit!" He spat.
"But I do. This isnt about me fucking your girl." He winced, instantly referred his words. Anger pulsed alive in Cyrons veins, firing up his Change.
"I said shut the hell up dog."
"I asked myself now why would someone your age ever be interested in Sam. Either you are just disgusting or you had to be handing her over to the Mutant people who want her dead. Which to me sounded weird since we root for the same team but than again..." He paused for effect. "Bounties always come with a price. Don't they?" He could feel his muscles spasm and constrict in his body. It took every nerve and hope in him to stop the Change inside the castle. If only he could lure Darren outside.
"Talking time is over fucker, I'm the one with the knife and the skill. Your life is now going to end."
Cyron glanced at Sam. He wasn't surprised she had not awakened yet. She has always been a heavy sleeper.
Darren stepped forward, leaving space between him and the doorway. It would be a risky move but it's now or never.
Cy bolted to the left towards the opening, barely passing Darren. He grunted in pain and clutched his stomach. "Lucky shot." He murmured, tears from the pain blurring his vision.
Panting threw the pain, he pumped his legs hard. He couldn't stop. Not after hearing Darrens heavy feet running after him.
He took a sharp left to the back door of the castle. When he reached the wooden door leading outside he pulled the heavy bolt to open the thick wood.
The cold Irish air instantly blew onto his hot face. Cooling the sweat forming on his brow an upper lip. Blood pounding to his head. The pain was become almost unbearable. If he could change he'd heal and than finally end the mans life.
Feet crunched on gravel behind. Cy whipped his head to the sound.
The full moon shone brightly on Darrens menacing face. His laughter erupted low and evil. "You were really set on not doing this inside."
"You must be insane to think you'd get away with this." The sharpness in Cy's head almost forced him to cring. He had to stay strong. Show no weakness.
"You'd be surprised." Darren mumbled thoughtfully.
"Really what is this about?" Cy asked making conversation. He had to stall as long as he can to complete his transition. He felt hot yet shivered as cool breezes of the night air licked his sweat cover body.
"That's none of your fucking business." Darren spat.
"You must have a reason. How much is her bounty?"
