Chapter nine

"What was that about? Are you sick? Do you need something. I'll get you whatever you need." Darren franticly said.

"No, no really I'm okay. I don't feel sick." Sam tried to reason.

"I guess walking in on people 'doing it' makes us all a bit queezy."

"Exactly."

They made their way back to the living area.

"You know what, I think I'm going to go outside for some fresh air." Sam sai starting to feel sick again.

"Oh, do you want some company?" Darren asked.

"No I think sometime alone would be nice."

Sam walked out the front door out to a glorious sunset. The sky was painted in reds and oranges as the sun rays shot across the sky, when the sun hit the horizon.

She took a deep breath. It was a little bit chilly but not enough for Sam to want to grab a jacket. She couldn't stand Darrens concerned face again. Not after that little episode.

Sam strolled to the stone bench and took a seat. She glazed apone the hills.

The image in Cy like that on another girl made her stomach twist up into a tight knot. A single tear rolled down her face and she quickly whipped it away with the back of her hand.

'Where'd that come from?' She wondered. She has thought about what things would be like if they got together. These fantasies were quickly ubsided when her friends reminded her that they were basicly siblings. Of course he has had girlfriends in the past, it never lasted long. Therefore it didn't give Sam any reason to get upset about it. Which she thought, was silly because they were friends, are friends. But seeing him like that. So intimate, so close to someone emotionally other than herself made her want to curl up into a ball and die.

More tears of jealousy fell on to her hands.

"Sam?" Cy walked over to her. Fully clothed.

"Yeah?"

He sat next to her. Looked out into nothing, his eyes elsewhere. "There's something I need to say."

"You don't need to say it. I already know." Sam cracked.

"You do?" Cy said confused.

"Yeah. I just don't know why you didn't tell me sooner."

"Sam I'm sorry I just didn't know how you would take it."

"We're best friends Cy! I could never judge you! If you want to date a girl and than have sex. Even on a table. So be it! It's just, we're suppose to tell each other everything!"

Cy sat dazed and confused. "Sam that's not what I was talking about."

"Oh. Than what is it?"

"I- nevermind. It can wait. Do you want to go check out the wine rack or something. I don't care what it is but honestly I could use a few drinks after what just happened."

"I agree. Anything to escape reality right now." Sam agreed.

The two friends walked arm in arm down to the back of the castle. They stopped to pick up a few bottles and carried on to Cys room.

"You know, I'm pretty sure you've got a better room than me." Sam said. A poster bed sat in the centre of the room. Underneither it was hard wood flooring. Two side tables were on either side of the bed.
