Chapter eleven
***Cy POV***
Cy sat upright feeling very stiff. He had just spent a whole night on gravel and rocks Smart.
He looked at a sleeping Sam, who was nestled on his lap.
What was she had said? It was hard to have heard her correctly when his head was pounding so loud in his ear he could even hear his heart beat.
Sam sturred a little bit and sigh escapes from her weather cracked lips. She didn't wake up though.
Cy snickered to himself. Same old Sam could sleep through anything.
He brushed a loose blonde hair behind her ear wondering what she was dreaming about this minute.
The corner of her mouth curved upward slightly. Cy's heart skipped a beat. God he loved her smile. He loved everything about her.
If only she loved him back.
Sam shuffled and than woke up with a huge yawn.
"Oh what time is it?" She asked messaging the back of her neck.
"I'm not sure." Cy said.
She yawned again and rubbed sleep out of her eyes. "Uck, I can't believe I slept outside and now I smell like throw up and outsideness. Gross." She complained and stumbled to stand up.
Cy caught her arm when she almost fell and helped her up.
They locked eyes just for a moment. Sam broke away mumbling something about going inside and washing up.
Cy watched her leave and shook is head sadly.
He was a little but confused about what had happened. Could she possibly, maybe... No he though it wasn't right. It wouldn't make sense.
She's with Darren and he's good for her.
So why does his heart pull every time he thinks about it.
Maybe he couldn't trust Darren. There's just something about that guy.
***Sams POV***
Sam hurried down into her room to take a shower in the private bathroom.
Her heart kept nagging her to go back to Cy and tell him how she really felt but her brain kept arguing saying it wasn't a good idea.
In her bathroom she turned the taps on in the shower, pull all her smelly clothes on and stepped into the warm water. The heat was comforting down her sore neck and back from sleeping outside.
How convenient that Cy has a wolfy episode when she has a bad dream.
Oh crap. Sam cursed herself for forgetting about it. As soon as she is done she'll go down and tell Darren all about it.
After a good ten minutes and intense scrubbing, Sam wrapped herself in a fleecy robe, pulled her wet hair in a messy pony tail and walked into her room.
She quickly change and was out of the room in seven minutes flat.
"Sam! There you are. I've been looking for you." Darren jogged up to Sam with a smile on his face. She noticed how his eyes twinkle every time he saw her. "Where were you this morning? I went to your room and you weren't there." Concern written all over his face.
Sam hesitated. She wasn't sure how much of what happened last night she should tell Darren. "I had a bad dream and went for walk." She said, kind of truthfully.
"Oh. Was it the Whispers again?" Darren asked nervously.
"No.." Sam said lowering her voice. "It was a dream walker."
