Chapter 4

(Raven's POV)

May,28 5:40 p.m.

"Here ma I gotcha some moe ice. You still don't feel no betta?"

I sniffed and wiped my face,shaking my head.

We went to my family crawfish boil today as part of our reunion. We enjoyed ourselves a lot but had to leave early.

Now anybody that knows anything about Louisiana cooking you know they cook with plenty of spices, well after eating a little sausage and corn I started to feel sick and pain in my stomach.

So here I am,at home sitting in the middle of our bed hurting extremely bad and he's doing his best to comfort me.

"It doesn't hurt as bad as before but it still hurts."

"Ca I lay down witcha or???"

"Yeah baby. I want you close to me."

He laid down beside me and started rubbing my stomach and talking to the baby.

"Aye lil guh ya gotta be still in der, ya hurtin ya mommy and got her cryin, settle down a lil bit."

"Sing to her maybe she get still."

He started to sing lowly while rubbing my belly. I don't know if it was the sound of his voice or what, but she started moving around to the point you could see her full body movement thru my stomach.

"Omg August stop she-."

Before I could finish I let out a loud screeching scream because of the contraction I just felt. I've been feeling them for a few hours now but now they're getting more constant and stronger.

"Ma dats like 5 in less dan 10 minutes, ya think we should go now?"

"Please!

Call the doctor and tell him we on the way.

I gotta pee so help me up please then grab my bag I'll meet you down stairs."

"Okay mama come on I gotcha."

After helping me up he walked to his side of the bed to grab his phone to call the doctor and before I could even take a second step,liquid came steaming down my leg and I felt something pop

"Um August??"

"Yeah doc she just had-. Ma are ya peein on yaself?"

I let out another screeching scream while slumping over and clutching my stomach.

"August baby my water just broke."

He finish telling the doctor what was going on ,then hung up to come help me.

"Here put dis dress on and I'll getcha der ma, ya doing good."

After getting cleaned up and redressed he grabbed the bag then we were on our way to the hospital.

Lucky for us it wasn't a long drive. They promptly got me into a room hooking me up to all the machines and giving me meds for the pain, prepping me for delivery.
