Kenshin stared out the window of the dojo, watching Yahiko and Kaoru practice. He chuckled to himself as Yahiko fought with his teacher.
"Hey." Sanosuke said from the doorway. "You okay?"
"Oro?" Kenshin turned around, startled by the sudden appearance of his friend. "Oh, yes. I am alright, that I am."
"No, you're not."
Kenshin feigned confusion, but it didn't work on Sano. "You killed your father yesterday. You reverted back to being the Battousai. You're not okay." Sano added sharply, making his point.
"Yes, I did revert as a result of killing." Kenshin replied, pretending to be carefree about the whole ordeal. "But the Battousai is locked away, as I said yesterday. There is nothing to be afraid of."
Angered, Sano grabbed Kenshin by the shirt. "I've had enough of your pretending. You can't keep up this act for long. Battousai's trying to get out... And you know it." With that, the martial artist stormed from the room.
"You're right, that you are." Kenshin whispered to himself, under his breath. "Sadly, there is nothing I can do. Battousai is stronger than me, and he will escape once more... Soon..."
