Beth's P.O.V
The rain trickled down the truck's window. I tapped my fingers impatiently on the window, waiting for us to arrive at our new house. The only thing keeping my last piece of patience was Little Mix playing in the background.
I don't understand why my dad wanted us to move away. Was it because of all the trouble and pain that was left behind in Florida? My dad just wants a new start. The only problem is that he can't just forget about everything that happened.
" Are we there yet, my iPad ran out of charge," my younger sister Alice complained.
" About twenty minutes darling," My dad said.
" I'm hungry. I want some food," Josh complained.
" Shut Up you two!" I yell.
" BETH!" My dad yells.
" WHAT? I THOUGHT I WAS HELPING OUT. CAN'T I PLEASE YOU ANYMORE?"
My dad slumped in his seat. We haven't even gotten to the house and we were fighting. I put my face in my hands and tried to stay calm. I can't have an other anxiety attack. My dad thinks I'm over those, when it's becoming worse and worse.
We reached the house and started unpacking the truck. I grabbed all my boxes and placed them down. I took a good look at the house. It was painted white with a few windows. The front yard had a few bushes and trees. A grabble pathway leading up to the deck. There were flower vines twisted on the fence. It was a really nice house.
We all chose our bedrooms. I got a really nice one with white walls and white carpet. It had a window seat and a walk in closet. My bed was already placed, same with my dresser and vanity. Time to decorate.
I had almost finished when I pulled out my mother's army jacket. A small, hot tear slide down my cheek. I grab the jacket and pull it to my chest.
" I miss you mum," I whisper.
I go into my closet and hang it up. I smoothed it out and left my room to go find the others. I walked into our empty living room. Josh and dad were placing down the couch. I spun o my heal and just as I was about to leave my dad called out.
" Beth, come and help please," My dad demands.
I sigh and pick up the single couch chair and carry it over to a corner. I plop down on it and pick up a magazine placed on the coffee table.
" Beth, come and help please. I swear to god!" My dad yells.
Josh pops up looking at me with a pleading look. I roll my eyes and throw the magazine down on the table. I could tell I was being a brat but for some reason I didn't want to stop. We spent the next three hours unpacking. I could feel myself, starting to go sleepy.
" Dad, what's for dinner?" Alice asks.
" I'm going to go the store and get some food and some school stuff for you guys."
" Can I come please?" Alice moans.
" Sure sweetie let's go. Bye Josh and Beth."
Dad closed the door and Josh faced me with an angry expression.
" What the hell was that Beth? You have been acting like a Brat ever since we got here!" Josh yells.
" Fuck, I don't know!" I say throwing my arms up in the air.
" Get your crap together because it so fucking annoying when you act like a brat!"
" I SO OVER THIS FAMILY! YOU NEVER UNDERSTAND!"
And with that I ran to my room and slammed the door.
