I woke up once more with sunlight beaming in my eyes causing me to stir. I blinked my eyes and turned over to see Thora already up and getting ready. "How long have you been up?" She packed her small bag as she answered my question. "Not to long. Probably about ten minutes ago. You might want to get ready. Hiccup said we'd be heading to the hatchery at dawn." I nodded in agreement and hot out of the bed. "Should we wake up Ragna?" I asked as my eyes saw her sleeping form. Thora looked up at Ragna before answering. "Nah, let her sleep. She said she would see us after the choosing." I nodded and started getting ready.

I tied back my long dark brown hair, making sure that it was out of my dark blue eyes. I tucked in my red tunic and started packing my bag. "I'm ready what about you?" I looked at Thora who was waiting by the door. She nodded her head and went out the door me falling her lead.

We went out to see a bunch off students waiting outside. By the time we joined them, Hiccup had come out and was ready to take us to hatchery. "Ok, I know today is very exciting for all of you, but please try to remain calm while I inform you on how this is going to work." All of the students quieted their conversations to listen to what he was going to say.

"Ok since all of you are in Strike class the dragon you choose must also be a Strike class dragon. You will be able to choose one from three different dragons. They are the Skrill, the Snow Wraith, the Triple Stryke, and the Woolly Howl. You will be asked a few questions by Gobber and he will give what he thinks would be best dragon from strike class, but the choice is yours. Now are there any questions be fore we head to the hatchery?" No one raised there hand so we headed down to the school where the hatchery was.

"Which dragon do you think you'll get, Thora?" I asked leaning towards her as we made our way down the mountain. "I don't know. All of them are pretty cool." "I agree. I don't really know either. I guess the suggestion will help narrow it down." She grunted in reply. We finally made it down the mountain and started making our way to the hatchery. The hatchery was in a big cave. The sides of the caves had flags with each dragon class on them and over the entry was a mural of a Viking bonding with a baby dragon. I smiled at it as we walked into the cave.I

t took a while until we made it into the cave since Gobber had to give us a mini quiz on at a time. The hatchery smelled like lava and had students running all around it with there dragons just behind them. There was a gate that lead down to where all the eggs were placed and at the center was a pool of lava. I noticed that all of the original dragon riders were at different corners of the cave with their dragons beside them. Some were answering questions to different students while others stood and waved at us.

Thora finally made it to Gobber, while I waited patiently behind her. After a couple of minutes she was done and she headed towards me. "So which dragon did he suggest?" She looked at me with happiness in her eyes. "He said that I would work best with a Snow Wraith." I hugged her happily while congratulateing her. She laughed before separating. "You better hurry. He isn't the most patient Viking in the world." I chuckled and went up to him while wishing her luck in finfpd her dragon.

"Well done took you long enough. I've been waiting for ages!" I looked down sheepishly before responding. "Um sorry about that Gobber." He looked me up and down critically and then looked me in the eye. "Say aren't you the lass who missed the boat?" I was unable to meet his gaze still embarrassed about yesterday. "Yes sir." He gave me hard slap on the shoulder that almost made me fall. "Well aren't you lucky. Looks like this is going to be one interesting year. I like the way you think lass." I looked up and gave him a small smile.

"Now let's begin shall we." I nodded as he started asking me questions. "What's your favorite color?" "Blue." He nodded as he wrote down my answer in his notebook. "What do you do when you see a bully picking on somenone? Well they should fight them, but that's just my opinion." "Stand up to them." Gobber gave me a proud look. "I like your thinking, lass." I smiled softly. "What do you do in a big group?" "I listening to everyone's ideas." He gave me an unimpressed look. "I see your the sentimental type. Personally I would clobber them on the head."
