Eisuke POV
I sit with my laptop firing away at the seams, going wild as I look for what I need.
I had figured out what to get my Violet-finally. I was actually excited about the idea of having her discover my plan.
She deserved all of what a man like me could give her, Mrs Ichinomiya was going to love it.
I smile to myself remembering our wedding day; the day she and I promised ourselves to one another.
Since then I had made mistakes, resulting in one word: Mercedes. Bile rises to my throat as I remember what I did to Violet, to my wife.
However, it exposed something that shouldn't have taken me long to realise; Violet had saved me, she saved me from being alone in my wealth like so many older men are in similar positions to me.
She is mine, my woman and I would never hurt her again. And she still belonged to me.
Of course my female has to have all the best things so this Christmas I would spoil her; I finished my transaction and put my black AMX card back into the breast pocket of my suit.
5 million was a steal for the gift I had just bought her as I would have gone up to 9 million easily. I was excited and now made arrangements so that it was ready for her in time for Christmas.
I stand up and head into the bedroom; I see my girl sitting on the bed looking cold. "Sweetheart?" I ask to the back of her.
"Eisuke!" She says in shock and faces away from me for a moment. She takes a few moments and her face turns to mine. I look up and see her eyes were blotchy and red. "Violet? Are you-" I approach her and she bolts up. "Nothing- excuse me" she replies and ploughs straight through me to the door. She disappears from my view, leaving me to my own thoughts in our bedroom.
Violet POV:
I wipe my eyes and I stand and turn to Eisuke; without really hearing him. "Nothing- excuse me" I say quickly my body screaming at me to get out; to not be with him alone.
I had promised myself that I would not break but I had, because I was scared. My heart was telling me to trust in him always that he wouldn't hurt his little boy but...Mercedes had taken a toll on the way I viewed Eisuke.
I right myself in our living room and headed for the bathroom. Taking a fluffy towel with my initials on it I head for the huge shower.
Usually Eisuke would have joined me, held me as the water seeped into my-
A little tap interrupts my thoughts.
"Yes?"
"Violet, it's me. I.. What happened in there? Is everything okay?" Eisuke's voice asks, full of concern and worry.
How could you not trust that voice? my inner goddess says bouncing up and down. No doubt his eyes are a painting of worry and agony as he watches me take care of myself and the baby.
I was hoping my subconscious would fight the opposite side give me, how-stupid-can-you-be look but it seemed even the stubborn, eye rolling cynical voice in my head had gone silent. Everything was telling me to trust him.
I was on my own.
"Eisuke, why aren't we going to dinner? Is..is something going again?" I ask, pausing my hands as they go to undo my shirt.
Unconsciously my hand pauses at the belly of my clothing and I begin to circle soothingly. I realise, not for the baby's as much as my own.
I thought it was funny how time itself was different depending on what was happening in those moments. My heart was in my throat as the pause stretched, the time becoming a blur; I felt as if I had asked the question 10 years ago, in reality merely seconds.
"Violet, we can go to dinner. I had some work to catch up on, that I didn't think I'd finish but I have" he says gently. His voice grows cold, "What did you... mean something going on?"
I sit myself facing into the bathroom and sigh. "I thought perhaps, you had...." but I couldn't finish the sentence.
Eisuke's POV
Standing outside the bathroom Eisuke was desperate to get inside, "Violet!" he cries in an pained voice. "God damn it I love you! No! Never! Check my phone, check my laptop, my bank account. Damn it check anything I'm never going to hurt you again."
He hoped she believed him; he needed her as much as he needed oxygen. "Please...let me in." he begs.
The door creaks open and he rushes to crush her into his arms. "Oh god Violet I need you I need you so badly. Even if you never trust me again I promise to always love you." his voice a now hoarse voice.
"I'm sorry, Eisuke I just-"
"No it's not your fault."
"I love you Eisuke, can... can we go to dinner?" she asks nervously.
"Of course we can. God, I just... just stay here." he says burying his head into Violet's neck.
Some time later, they both stand up and go for a lovely evening in candle light.
