It's Christmas Eve and his birthday and all day Louis received love from everyone. He woke up to a nice breakfast and got to eat it in bed, received kisses and hugs from his mother and sisters, and got new clothes and some 'sick' socks. The love and gifts were nice, but Louis felt like something was missing. Oh, right.

He can text him, it's not enough for him, though. A call. Louis walked towards door and he heard a voice call for him, "Louis? Where are you off to?" He sighed and turned around to face his mother, "I'm going to outside for some air, maybe walk around for a bit. I have to call someone."

Johannah stared at him then nodded, "Alright, just remember to come back because we're going out for dinner." Louis smiled and quickly ran out the door as he scrolled through his phone contacts. He found Liam's contact and tapped on 'call'. He pressed the phone to his face as he waits for Liam to pick up.

"Hello? Louis?"

Louis relaxed when he heard his voice, "Hey. You seem happy to hear from me."

"Oh! Of course I'm happy! It's your birthday, huh? Happy birthday, Tommo!"

"Thank you, Li. I feel lonely over here since I have no one here to poke at."

Liam chuckled, "I miss you too. When are you coming back? I'm lonely as well and Niall won't stop crying to me about his proposal plan. Also, we're both planning on doing this bonfire thing for the new year, and we're not going to start it until you come back, so I don't know if you're up for it or if you'll be here, but I really do miss you and I thought it would be nice."

Louis' face hurts from smiling, you're so cute. "I'm up for it, yeah! I think I'll be back a few days after Christmas day, so I'll be back soon. Don't get too sad, Liam."

"I am sad, Lou. I miss my mate."

"Shut up, I'll be back. You'll be the first person I'll be running to and I'll throw a punch."

"Oh, I'll be ready to fight back then, babe."

"God, I miss you."

"Don't get too sad, Louis."

Louis is a giggly mess as he is leaning against a wall with his hand over his mouth, trying not to be obvious. He wasn't like this before, especially with Liam. He didn't think he would end up loving Liam so much.

"You're such an idiot, I swear."

Louis can sense Liam smiling, "I got it from a certain somebody. Did you have a good birthday?"

"Yeah, got some gifts and we are going to go out and eat in a little," Louis said as he watches people walk by and cars driving by. "Eat some snails for me then. I have to go now, though. Happy birthday, Louis. Love you."

Louis felt sadness immediately, "Nooo, don't go yet." He heard Liam sigh, "I'm sorry, we'll talk later, though! I hope you have fun. You deserve a great birthday."

You made my birthday better.

Louis sighed, "I guess, bye Liam. See you soon, yeah?"

"Yeah, happy birthday and Christmas."

"...Love you."

"You too."
