SHANE WOULD NEVER be forgiven for what he did. Our lives were just fine until that group showed up. Shane was responsible for Otis's death, and I was certain dear old Otis would not be the only man to fall at the hands of that group. The bastard had no damn right to snatch the locks right off our barn and kill the monsters within. Since the day before I was no longer sad, I was livid.

I mean, yes, it was true that they weren't just sick, they're dead. On the contrary, who wanted to see their family and friends all but slaughtered right before their eyes? No one but a pure psychopath, such as Shane himself. I had been trying for what seems like forever to convince Daddy and Beth that those things weren't just sick, they're long gone.

"Have you seen Daddy?" Maggie asked as she popped her brown head of hair through the doorway of mine and Beth's room. Beth had been on bed rest after she fainted while doing the dishes. She looked dead already, if I was being honest. Maggie had just gone to go get daddy, which left me confused. Her under eyes were red and puffed out, a sign of crying. I understood she could've been crying over the events that took place with the barn, but I hadn't noticed before.

"No," I replied with furrowed brows. She sighed and smiled before leaving. A little while later Shane came in and closed the door behind him. He had a blank look on his face as he rubbed the back of his neck. I stood from my bed and crossed my arms.

"I just came t--" I didn't let him finish. I shook my head while shoving his broad chest. He stumbled back, nearly falling over.

"Shut the fuck up," I snapped, taking another step closer as I pointed towards the door, "You don't even talk to me, ya hear? Turn around and walk out that damn door before I put an arrow between your eyes."

Shane narrowed his eyes at me and shook his head, turning around and exiting the room. He still made sure to slam the door, however. I turned to look back at Beth's ghostly figure with a sigh. Deciding there was no point in just sitting in there, I made my way downstair and out the doors. I quickly took notice of the fact that a lot of the group appeared to be worrying about something. Especially Lori Grimes, who was walking back towards the house from a tent that was farther away from the rest. I made my way over to her.

"Lori, right?" I asked just to double check. I wasn't the best with names. She gave me what appeared to be a forced smile, and nodded.

"And you're Charlie, Beth's twin?" She crossed her skinny arms.

"Yes ma'am, that's me," I nodded, "Do you know what's going on?"

"What do you mean?" Her brown brows pulled together.

"Everyone's on edge and I don't know where my father is," I explained, nervously glancing around.
