It's been two days since they gave out the medicine. A decent amount of people were cured, and I was happy for them.

But I was pissed I wasn't one of them. Even Derek was better. And he was worse than me.

If anything, it seemed like the medicine made me worse. I ran a fever and cough now. I swear they accidentally gave me more of the sickness instead of the cure for it.

Derek stopped by to check on me a lot and give me food, which I was grateful for. I wanted more than anything to just not be sick, and back in my normal cell with Derek.

I think that Maggie was hiding something from me. Ever since the day I went to visit Beth, she checked up on me every hour on the hour and asked how I was. She always wore the same panicked expression, that only made me panicked more than I already was.

Why were you panicking? You might ask.

I haven't had my period in over a month. That's why.

Aside from the possible living creature in my stomach, I still hadn't told Derek I loved him, and it was killing me. Either it was that or the medicine that is possibly poison.

"Hey." Speak of the devil and he shall appear.

"Hey, Derek." I smiled weakly at him from where I laid on the lower bunk of my cellblock A bed.

"How are you feeling?" He asked as he sat at the edge of my bed.

"Fine." I lied easily. He nodded with a tight smile. I could see a few heads of sweat on his forehead as he twiddled his thumb. I furrowed my brows, "Are you okay?" I asked.

He nodded quickly, "Yeah." Too quickly.

"O-kay." I said wearily. He smiled and shrugged one shoulder before he reached over and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear and kept his hand on my cheek. I smiled and lent my head against it.

"I love you." He said softly.

That was it. I had to say it. It had to be done. So, I put on my big girl pants and said, "Fuck." I panicked last second. I mentally face palmed myself.

Derek chuckled softly, "I think the meds are affecting your head." He pulled back his hand.  Grabbed it and squeezed it.

"I love you." I said with a new found confidence. His smile widened as he sat down beside the bed and kissed me on the lips. I smiled as I pulled away, "I'm sick." I reminded him.

"I don't care." He smiled and kissed me again. I laughed and pulled away. I turned my head away from him and coughed into my elbow a few times.

I felt his hand rubbing my back as I continued coughing. With a final clearing of the throat, I turned back to face him. I smiled faintly as I placed a hand on his cheek, just staring into his brown eyes.

"Derek! Maggie needs you!" Carl shouted from outside the cell.

"Coming!" Derek called back before smiling at me, "I'll see you later, I love you."

"I love you too." He stood up and kissed my hand before exiting the cell.

Carl stopped in the doorway, a black bandana covering his nose and mouth.

"How are you feeling?" He asked with crossed arms. I let out a puff of air before throwing my legs over the bed and preparing to stand up.

I grabbed onto the bar above me and stood up, adjusting the white t-shirt I had on.

"I need to go on a run, cover for me." I said while grabbing my back pack that held some of my stuff.

"No, your weak. You can't go out there." Carl shook his head.

"I'm not weak, and I need to." I said sternly.

"Then I'm coming with you." He shrugged.

I shook my head, "I need someone to cover for me."

"How long will it take?"

"I don't know, not long."

"There, you said it yourself. It won't take long and I can get someone else to cover for us." He said. I sighed.

"Fine." I exited the cell and looked both ways before we continued, "How are we supposed to get past everyone?" I whispered.

"We just sneak." Carl shrugged.

"I have bright blonde hair!" I smacked him on the arm.

"Ow!" He hissed as he rubbed the spot I hit him on, "Here." He snapped before plopping his hat down on my head. I rolled my eyes as we walked through cellblock C and into the yard.

I was pleasantly surprised that nobody noticed me. We sprinted across the field and down to the fences.

"Where are you goin'?" Tyreese asked from where he stood killing walkers through the fence.

"We're going on a quick run, it's okay with my dad." Carl said as he took his hat back.

"Charlie, you better now?" He asked.

"Uh, yeah. Much better." I smiled and nodded. Tyreese nodded before opening the gates for us. We ran out and he closed them behind us.

"So, where are we heading?" Carl asked once we were out of hearing range.

"The pharmacy." I said without looking at him.

"And why are we going there?"

"Just shut up and keep up the pace, if we're gone too long they'll notice." I hissed and sped up.

After a while of walking, we were finally at the pharmacy. I cringed at the sight of my blood on the pavement, along with several locks of blonde hair.

We walked past that and into the pharmacy, guns raised. I whistled, waiting for anything to come out of hiding.

"Keep watch, I'll be back." I said before holstering my gun and walking towards the isle I needed. I grabbed three pregnancy tests and glanced over the shelves to where Carl was.

His hat moved back and forth as he paced in front of the door. I walked over and into the bathroom. I quickly went to the bathroom and used the pregnancy tests before exiting the stall. I lined up all the tests on the counter and paced as I waited the necessary three minutes.

I crossed my arms as I thought deeply.

What if I was pregnant? I was only, like, twenty! Obviously Derek would be the father. Oh my god, Beth would be an aunt! Same with Maggie! And dad would be a grandpa! Oo! What would it's name be? It would depend on its--

"Charlie?" Carl called out. I heard the doorknob jiggle and in a panic, I locked the door.

"One second!" I said before rushing over to the tests. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before slowly opening my eyes and scanning them.

Four plus signs.
