The loud noise stops me in my track. Did I hear right? That sounded like.......

At first I tried to listen but any sound was drowned by the waves crashing on the sand. There seems to be a pause and I hear it again.

It sounds like a loud scream echoing through the rocks near the shore. Call me crazy but even the ground shook a little.

What in the world could of caused that? Before my brain registers what I'm doing, my legs are dragging me towards the rocks without thinking about it twice.

I know, you might be thinking, why would she do that? She should run away as fast as she can. The thing is that someone might be in danger and I will try my best to help them. Here where I live, we trust each other.

As I run towards the rocks, I put my sandals back on to avoid getting cut by the pointy rocks. Once I reach them, my eyes do a quick scan of the area but don't find anything. I have to go deeper, but it will get dangerous, since the rocks are wet and slippery.

As my hands hold tightly to the rock, I stop to listen again, closing my eyes to focus. The sound echoes through the rocks and the sound of the waves crashing against them does not help.

"Hello?" I yell, using all the oxygen stored in my lungs.

From the corner of my eye, I see a shadow move. That's a start. I jump to next rock and climb until I reach the rock where I saw the shadow.

My foot slips a little making me lose my balance, and letting out a loud yelp, but my hands manage to hang on to the rocks like my life depends on it, because it basically does.

There is an opening and I finally see the shadow. The bright sunlight makes me squint to get a better look. It seems like it's a girl?

I slowly approach the shadow. By now I'm able to her more clearly. She has blonde hair that almost looks white and blue eyes like the sky. Her skin is smooth and pale and her eyebrows are dark. She tenses as I approach, so I stop and decide to talk. "Hello? It's okay, I'm here to help." Now that I've stopped walking I notice a small cut on my index finger. I'll take care of it later, nothing to worry about. When she sees me approaching her, her eyes widen.
"Are you okay?" It's a silly thing to ask since I heard her scream but I don't really know how to start a conversation.

"I...um...yes. I'm fine." She says wiggling to get rid of something. Following her movement, I notice that she is caught up in a net and her foot is bleeding.

Slowly and carefully, I reach out and help her with the net. Once she is free, I offer my hand to help her up. She stares at me and hesitates before taking it, then I help her up.

"You can lean on me, whatever you do, don't put pressure on your foot okay?" I say.

"Okay." She says in a low voice.

"My house is nearby, so don't worry." She nods and we start walking to my house. She puts her arm around my neck and she limps all the way.

We have to stop and go little by little. Believe it or not, you get tired after a while even if it's a short distance.

After what seems like forever we reach my house. She leans on the wall while I open the door.

"Sit on the couch." I say as soon as we in. "I'm going to go get some things from the kitchen." She nods and rests her head on the couch.

First stop is the kitchen, where I know we have a first aid kit in the cabinet. Then I run to the bathroom and grab a towel. Once I have everything I need I head back to the living room.

"I'm back." I say, making the girl's eyes widen as she hears my voice. I put everything on the floor and grab her foot. Her body tenses and she looks alarmed.

"I'm not going to hurt you. I just need to take a look."

I look at her foot and see a fishing hook. Ouch. No wonder she screamed.
"I have to take the hook out and it's going to hurt." I look around and grab a pillow, then I hand it over to her.

"Here." I say.

"What's this for?" She asks as she takes the pillow.

"So you can hold on to it. This is going to hurt you a lot."

"O..okay."

"Here we go." I was just as nervous as she was, even though it's not going to hurt me as much as its going to hurt her. I put my gloves on and pull out the hook out slowly.

Normally, in any other situation I would have done this faster, but to be honest I don't want to hurt her more. I don't even know the size of the hook.

As the hook is coming out, the girl lets out a scream so loud that afterwards my ears are ringing. When it passes I speak again.

"The good news is that the hook is out, the bad news is, that we are still not done."

"I'm sorry for the scream." She says. Her face turning different shades of pink.

"That's alright." I smile to reassure her. "The worst is over now." I grab a cotton ball to clean the wound.

"What are you going to do now?" She asks.

"Now I just have to clean your wound and put a bandage around it. By the way this might sting a little."

She hisses as I clean her wound. The final step is to open the kit and grab a bandage.

"There we go. I'm done." I say with a smile, admiring my art work.

"Thank you." The girl says with a smile.

I start cleaning up and head to the kitchen . Before I go in a take a look at the stranger.

"By the way," I say "I don't know your name."
