That night, after returning home and after Alex left, I drifted away and fell asleep only to have another weird dream.
This time I was sitting on the beach watching the water, until I hear a voice calling my name. Immediately recognizing the voice, I look around until I find the owner's voice.
He is walking next to my dad with a big smile on his face. He waves at me and I wave back smiling at him, then I get up and walk towards them along with my mother.
Before I can see what happens next, my eyes open and I feel a tear run down my cheek.
As I place my hand on my cheek, I feel more tears slowly running down my face. The question is why? Who is that boy?
For the next hour I sit on my bed trying to remember the stranger's face, with no success until my eyes finally give up and I drift back to sleep.

The next morning I sit on the table thinking about the strange dreams that I've being having. They don't make any sense but they are still there in the back of my mind. With a sigh, I put my bowl in the sink and start walking towards my room to get ready for school. As I'm walking, I'm greeted by my dad, who kisses my cheek and says good morning. Since I was so lost in my thoughts, I didn't really register what he said until he waved his hand in front of me.
"Are you alright sweetheart?" He asks looking at me with concern.
"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm alright." I say with a shrug.
"Tell you what," my dad says with a small smile. "You go change and I'll take you to school, that way we can talk."
"O...okay." I say and get to my room to change and get my things. It's unusual for my dad to walk me to school since he is always in a hurry to start fishing, and I really don't like to bother him but we don't get to do this often.
Swinging my backpack onto my shoulder, I head back down the stairs and open the door to head to school.
My father is sitting outside on a rocking chair, patiently waiting for me. As the bright sunlight illuminates his face, I see his features clearly and with more detail. The way that his dark brown hair is staring to get gray strands. That his beard and hair have gotten a little longer. That now that I see him looking at the ocean, his green eyes look more alive, and even though he has aged a little, I'm glad that he is as strong as ever.
Since I didn't really know how to start the conversation, I awkwardly stand in silence until I clear my throat and my father turns to face me with a smile.
"You ready to go?" He asks and I respond with a nod.
"We can take our time, after all you are always early." He says and we start walking. As we walk, my feet keep kicking the sand on our way, until my dad speaks up again.
"So what's on your mind?" He asks looking at the horizon.
"Well....." How should I put his into words without sounding crazy? I guess I'll just say it. "I keep having really strange dreams and I don't know why."
"What types of dreams?" He asks now looking at me.
"Well, I'm not entirely sure. You see, when I dream them they seem so real, however, when I wake up, I can't really remember much, only some little fragments."
He lets out a small hum with a nod as we stop by the gates of the school. "Don't worry about them too much sweetie, they are just dreams after all. Maybe they'll make sense in the future." He says offering a reassuring smile.
"You're right, I'll try my best. Thanks dad." I say giving him a hug.
When we part, I see my dad smiling at me, and then he smiles at someone else in the distance, but when I look I only see a group of students. I guess he was just being polite. "This is where we part ways, I'll see you later dad."
"See you later."
As I start to walk closer to the group of students, I notice that they are not familiar faces. Since we live in a really small town, we know who lives here and who is new. Why are there so many new kids? Just then, I notice a familiar face.
"Hey Ariadne." I say slowly walking up to her.
"Hey Melody." She says with a bright smile. "This is my sister Alana."
"Hi Alana nice to meet you." I say with a smile and shake her hand.
"Nice to meet you too Melody." She says returning the smile.
They actually look very similar, except for their hair. Alana's hair is a little darker and more brownish than Ariadne's. Then my eyes move to the two guys standing next to them. One of them has yet black hair, pail skin and electric blue eyes. The other one also has dark hair, but he is more tanned and he has green eyes.
"Oh and this is Sean and Damien." Ariadne says happily. "Our friends."
"Nice to meet you." Sean says with an eye smile.
"It's an honor to finally meet you." Damien says in a quieter voice.
He must have seen my confused face because he adds, "oh Ariadne wouldn't stop talking about you."
"Ah, I see." I say looking down. "So you guys know each other?"
"Yes," Sean says, "we all came from the same school."
"That's cool, we don't usually have new students."
"Well, our school was destroyed by the rain so we were invited to come here."
"Welcome to our school." I say with a smile. "Would like a tour of the school before class starts?"
"That would be wonderful, thank you." Alana says.
