"Hey Liam! Wanna go out to lunch on Friday since its my birthday?" You yell up to your brother. He doesn't hear you, so he comes downstairs to hear you better. "What, sis?" He asks. "Do you wanna go to lunch on Friday since its my birthday?" You ask again. He smiles and says, "Anything for my baby sister."

You get out of the shower around 11:00 to get ready. You put on your outfit, which consists of a light blue sweater, a pair of navy blue skinny jeans, a navy blue scarf, and a light blue beanie. After you dry your (hair color) hair, you put on just some eyeliner and mascara. Nothing fancy. You put on your blue converse and sit on your bed. You open up the Twitter app and scroll through the feed. Before you know it, it's 11:45 and time to meet Liam for lunch. You get in your car and drive to the cafe where you and your brother are having lunch.

You sit in the parking lot of the little shop and search desperately for your brothers car. Not seeing it after 10 minutes, you start to worry about him. You call him about 7 times before assuming he forgot and starting to tear up. "How could he forget my birthday?" You think, as you wipe your eyes and drive back to your house.

When you walk in the house, your mum instantly knows something's wrong."Y/N! What's wrong?" You start to sob as you sit on the sofa. "L-liam ditched me." You choke out. She frowns and goes to the kitchen to get your presents. "Babe, I know you're sad right now, but can I try to cheer you up? It is your birthday after all!" You nod and sniffle, sitting up straight. She smiles and starts to sing Happy Birthday. You smile and accept the presents she has in her arms. As you're in the middle of opening them, you hear Liam walk in. You glare at him before getting up and going upstairs. He stands there confused as your mum glares at him as well."What? Did I miss something?" He says. "Yeah. Your baby sister's birthday." Your mum says to him. A look of recognition crosses his face. "Oh shit!" He says before running upstairs. He knocks on your door. He hears a sniffle followed by a "Come in." He opens the door and his heart breaks seeing his little sister crying on her bed. He sits down on the edge, grabbing your hand. He runs his fingers over your knuckles, calming you a bit. "Y/N, babe, I'm so so sorry I forgot. Simon texted me and told me we had an emergency meeting with management, and I got so stressed out I forgot. I get it if you're mad." He says. "It's ok. It wasn't that important anyways." "Hell yes it was! It's your 18th birthday! Woo!" You laugh at his goofiness. He hugs you and kisses your cheek. "Hey, I think there's still time for a birthday dinner with all the boys." He says, wiggling his eyebrows. You smile and go to clean up your smudged mascara.
