I sent Tyler out to give a forewarning to Lena and Sky about what was to become of them tomorrow. I was sitting in one of the kitchen chairs thinking about who I was going to use for Sky when my Beta came in."They are both done Richard. Anything else you want us to do in preparation for tomorrow?" he asked standing in front of me.
"No, but have I ever told you what my plan is for Lena? I asked him.
"For tomorrow?" he asked, puzzlement in his voice.
"No, ever since I knew she was born." I said.
"No sir I don't think you have." he replied a little uncertain about what the conversation was leading to.
"Well because of the problem we have had from the Rogues I offer them promises when they need something to do." I began.
"Do you plan on giving them Lena?" he asked.
"I'm still thinking about it but I think I have finally made my decision about her." I answered.
"Not to be blunt but may I ask what sir?" he asked.
"I am going to hand them off but only when they are ready for her." I said.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"They come to me when they need something and that hasn't happened yet." I said.
"Oh." he responded still sounding uncertain.
"That is all I will tell you for now, you are dismissed." I said waving my hand at him to go.
When he had left I stood and went to the back porch to look at their handy work. Even with my good vision in the dark I could barely make out the shape of the large kennels enforced with silver and roughly 20ish feet tall just enough that a wolf couldn't jump over. A smile was brought to my lips at the thought of Sky being forced to fight his cousin and Lena fighting me.
"Hey babe there you are." my gorgeous mate said as she joined me on the porch. "Come to bed so you can rest up for tomorrow." she said tugging gently on my arm.
"I could beat her with one of my legs tied to my body." I said turning to her smiling.
She tugged again insisting I follow her and I let her. I followed her upstairs to our room.
----------------------------------
I woke the next morning knowing what was coming in a couple hours. I had called the pack yesterday to invite whoever wanted to witness the event and most of them were coming, but the one's who stayed behind are the friends of Lena and Sky as well and most of the members of Lena's old pack.
After I had showered and dressed I made my way downstairs to find my Beta's mate cooking breakfast. When everyone had gotten downstairs we ate and started on the final preparations for what was to come.
After it was done we still had some time to kill so Alex, the wolf I had chosen for Sky, went to get ready by warming his wolf up.
At around 11:00 I went with my Beta to get Lena and Sky. We found them watching us as we approached their cages. My Beta called over several wolfs to collect Lena and Sky and bring them to the "arena" as a couple of us called it. When we got closer Sky came to the conclusion faster than Lena who went on guard.
After several minutes of forcing them into their separate areas Alex and I headed to the woods to shift. When I approached Lena's kennel her hackles raised and her fur stood on end at the thought of fighting me. I nodded at my Beta who unlatched the gate and let me in before re-latching it behind me. The same was done for Alex.
"I'm not going to fight you." I heard Lena say through the mind link.
"What if it means your release?" I asked.
"As if I would buy that shit. I'm not stupid Richard, you can't trick me." she growled.
I glanced at Alex and saw Sky watching Lena intently. Alex brought him out of his haze by jumping forward and nipping him on his foreleg. Sky merely ignored him knowing Alex was trying to get him to fight. I knew one thing to get him to do that so I lunged forward to fast for Lena to react and pinned her beneath me. When Alex realized that Sky was angered he tried again by nipping but neither of us were expecting what Sky did next. Sky turned and grabbed Alex and bit down until we heard the bone snapping before letting go and moving to the other end of the kennel.
I turned my attention to find Lena looking at Sky and something passed between them that I couldn't read. She shifted beneath me and I moved my front legs so she could move her head. What I wasn't expecting was for her to turn her head and bite down on my leg. It was on.
I jumped off her before spinning and grabbing the back of her neck and tossing her a few feet away. She landed on her side but sprang to her feet in seconds baring her teeth and snarling at me.
I took a quick glance to find Alex getting up and moving around Sky who had his full attention on us. He had his teeth bared and growling lowly and was taken completely by surprise when Alex jumped on him from behind and they continued.
I turned back to Lena and found her pacing in front of me. I started to circle her and when she lunged I dodged and we began to circle again. We did this several times before she actually got my ear and managed to tear part of it off before I grabbed her leg and got her off. The fight began when we both jumped at each other at the same time. We bit and scratched and when we got a hold it was for a brief moment before the other could get a chance at the throat. After several minutes of this Lena had someone gotten on my back and was holding part of my shoulder in her teeth. I threw myself on the shoulder she had and I heard a high pitched yelp and her teeth release from my shoulder.
I turned to find her laying on her side struggling to get up. Our audience had fallen silent and when I looked at Sky he had Alex pinned beneath him again but I saw that he had teeth marks along his sides and scratches across his face.
I turned to see that Lena had stumbled to her feet but she was barely standing.
"Do you give in?" I asked her sitting on my haunches.
I didn't get an answer in return except for a growl. She slowly took a few steps towards me before a low whine stopped her. Somehow we had managed to block out what was happening next to us and saw that Alex had grabbed Sky's throat and was trying to wrestle him to the ground. Blood oozed from his neck as he struggled. Alex finally got the upper hand and threw Sky to the ground still holding his neck.
I turned to see Lena with anger in her eyes that I was taken aback and she used that to her advantage as she lunged forward and grabbed my throat in her jaws and hung on even as I tried to shake her off.
When I finally managed to shake her off she landed and then lunged for my throat again. I lunged for her and met her in the air and when we landed she was pinned beneath me.
"For a minute there I was thinking about keeping you alive but you forced me to change my mind. But before I do I'm gonna let you in on something." I told her.
I released her and she backed up and glared at me, "So what are you going to tell me?" she said.
" I was planning on giving you to the rogues as a peace offering to our pack but I think they can wait a little longer" I said opening the mind link so everyone could hear.
Her answer was to snarl but she didn't say anything so I continued. "But you know what else? The last peace offering were your parents."
The response was immediate, Lena staggered but caught herself while there were several gasps and exclamations coming from the pack.
"Yes Lena, I had your parents killed so I could have their land and pack and continue to keep the rogues at bay. And now it is your turn." I finished.
