I slammed the phone down onto the table after another unsuccessful call to the Blue Rock Pack's Alpha. For the past two weeks I have been trying to figure out my mates past and when I found out what happened to the original Alpha and his mate after several days of research and calling neighborhood packs I felt a sudden need to find and hold her.

"Dylan we'll find her but you have to be patient." my father told me from the other side of the room without looking up from his papers.

"I can't just sit here and wait dad." I said folding my arms across my chest and staring at the phone willing it to ring with more information on my mate.

"Well if it helps I'm planning for a group to go to the Blue Rock Pack to see if we can talk to Alpha Richard. If you can calm down I might consider bringing you with me." he said finally turning to look at me.

"And what if we find her, what then?" I asked.

"We won't be able to take her with us since she is still part of their pack." he said before getting up and stretching. "C'mon Dylan, lets go eat."

-------------------------------------

We were almost to the Blue Rock border when their scouts howled signaling our presence to the rest of the pack. We were escorted in and brought to the Alpha's house. There we were met by the Alpha, his mate and the Beta male and female.

"I know why you're here Duke." Richard told my father. "But she ran off a little over a week ago when she found out more information on how her parents died." he finished.

"Dylan come here I found something you might want to see." Bryan, my Beta mind linked me.

"Ok, let me know where you are so I can meet you." I told him.

He sent me a picture of his surroundings and I excused myself from the group to "get fresh air". When I was out of eye sight I ran to Bryan's location and was met by something I hadn't seen in years. "Is that what I think it is?" I asked him.

"Yes Dylan." he answered.

Before us was a section of a whipping post that looked like it had been used recently.

"Follow me I also found something else." he said walking away in the direction of a section of woods that looked to be partly cleared.

What we found was a large metal crate that looked large enough to hold a wolf. I stepped closer and when the scent hit me a growl crept up my throat.

"What is it Dylan?" Bryan asked a little uncertainly.

The scent was stale and faint but it was hers, "They held Lena here." was all I said before turning and making my way back towards the Alpha house.

"Shit." I heard Bryan say under his breath as he followed me.

As I approached the house my father and his Beta John stepped out and joined us at the bottom of the front stairs.

I told him what we found and when he turned he came face to face with Richard.

"So you found out about our secret? I'm not surprised that your son likes to stick his nose in other people's business." Richard said.

"If it weren't for my son and his Beta we wouldn't have found out what you did to Lena." my father shot back.

"I'm only going to tell you once, if you come back here again I'll be forced to report you. But what I can say is that your Lena ran off from the beach house so I have no idea nor do I care where she is." he said.

My father glared at him for a moment before turning and walking off in the direction of their border and ours.

We traveled back home in silence and went we got back to the house my father shut himself in his study.

The next few days was hell as I knew what Lena had gone through but that I couldn't help her in any way but I believed that she was out there somewhere waiting for me to find her.

The next day I decided to do my own research on her pack and found that in the rogue wars her parents were killed and many packs thought that the rogues had also killed her as well to get rid of the Blue Rock Pack's Alpha bloodline.

No news on her or her whereabouts was found for a while but I never gave up hope that she would be found and she would be save from whatever hell she's gone through. But as the days slowly went by several of my pack members where losing hope that they had lost their future Alpha female.

After several more days we heard a rumor of a lone female wolf being accessed into the Crescent Moon Pack territory. "Do you think its her dad?" I asked him when he told me.

"I don't know but we are leaving tomorrow morning, from what I could tell she has already been there for a couple days." he said packing up some things for the journey.

I went back to my room to do the same but I found that there was already a packed bag on my bed and from what I could tell from the scent it was my mom. So I spent the rest of the day thinking of what would happen when I found her and brought her back.

---------------------------

The next morning we set out in wolf forms with our bags slung on our backs. It was strange but normal humans didn't ever come this far in. It was a several hour trip but we made it more enjoyable by giving chase to small animals and jumping over each other.

Halfway through our journey we came upon a small river and turned so it was on our left. I knew the path well as it was the same one we took to get to the Blue Rock pack. We were shortly met by the Crescent Moon Packs Alpha.

We were invited to the Alpha house where we grouped up in the living room. When I walked in I was met with an the intoxicating scent of Lena but saw that she was nowhere to be found.

"I have to tell you some bad news Duke." Alpha Jeremy said.

"Is it about Lena?" my dad asked.

"Yes it is. I meant to call you but you had already left. You see...... she's gone." he said.

"Wait what?" I asked not sure if I heard him correctly.

"She left this morning before the rest of us were awake. The guards didn't see or smell her go through but my sons managed to communicate with her before she got to far." Jeremy said.

"Your sons can communicate with Lena?" my dad asked.

"Mine and her fathers packs were united as allies which gave us the ability for our offspring to communicate with each other once they were able to meet. Its rare and sometimes never happens but we were lucky to have it in this situation." he said.

"Do you know where she is going by any chance?" my dad asked.

"She said something about going to the Light Wolves." a new voice spoke from behind us.

"That's my youngest Adam. He got pretty attached to Lena while she was here." Jeremy said.

I turned and saw a kid probably not much older than 18 but was more on the scrawny side. I recognized him as an Omega.

"This is Lena's mate Adam." his father said.

"Hope you find her." was all he said before he turned and walked out of the house.

"He's a quiet kid while his twin is the complete opposite. But anyway that's all she mentioned about where she was going. I'm sorry but that's all I know." he said standing up.

"Thank you for your help, it was greatly appreciated."

--------------------------

The trip home was a silent one as we pondered on how to get to the Light Wolves. It was said to be a myth but Lena was set on finding them for some reason. The story said that they were situated on the shore as far east as you could go and then north in the middle of a large dense forest. Many wolves have tried to find them but they all proved unsuccessful or they never came back.

I didn't feel like talking when we got home so I went straight to my room and then to bed. I laid awake that night thinking about what if she hadn't left, if she had just waited another couple hours.

I will find you Lena, and when I do im not going to let anything happen to you. I vowed before falling asleep.
