The Abused Mate

Chapter 16- Lena's POV

This chapter will have adult content as it is Lena's POV from the last chapter.

I woke up to a sunlit but empty room. I yawned and got out of bed and stretched. I headed to the joined bathroom to take a shower and change. When I was done with what I needed to do I went for the door. I had just reached it when it opened.

"Oh good you're awake I was just about to come get you." Sam said.

"Yea, when does this meeting start?" I asked sliding between him and the door and heading toward the stairs.

"In about an hour so get some breakfast." he said following me.

45 minutes later I had been introduced to everyone that I didn't see yesterday, had breakfast and was on my third cup of coffee.

"Ok enough Lena no more for you." Jared said walking by me and taking the cup from my hands without stopping and dumped it down the sink and putting the cup in the dishwasher.

"You can't tell me how much coffee I'm allowed to have, remember I can beat the shit out of you if I want." I said glaring at him before I followed a chuckling Zach out of the room.

"Is she always like this?" someone asked.

"She'll either kill you or throw something at you if you take away her coffee but other than that.. yes this is her normal cheerful self." Sam answered truthfully.

I followed Zach down a hall and down a few steps before we entered a large room with multiple chairs and a few tables arranged around the room.

I sat down in a far corner so I wouldn't draw attention to myself. But of course that didn't work as my car riding pals joined me.

To put it simply the meeting was boring as all get out. Three hours of talking about the rogues, the touchy subject of my Uncle, I zoned out after that and just looked out the window. When they released us from the meeting I practically ran out the room.

I went straight to the back patio where I found a large round table and a few chairs. I was soon joined by my favorite people and we sat in silence for a while.

"So.........." Jared tried starting a conversation.

"What?" Michael asked.

"What did you think of the meeting guys." Jared asked.

"Other than being bored and not being able to get up and move for three hours it was awesome." I muttered placing my chin on my arm.

"Here you are guys I was looking for you." Zach said coming out the screen door.

"What do you need Zach?" Michael asked.

"I wanted to know when Lena was planning on leaving." he said pulling up a chair and joining us.

"I was going to stay for lunch and then leave." I said without looking up.

"Alright well then we have a few minutes before that happens." he said.

Silence fell on our group before we heard a commotion inside.

"I'll go check it out, I'll be right back." Zach said getting up and leaving.

He came back a few minutes later with a tray laden with hot dogs and 5 cups of sweet tea.

We all thanked him when he placed them on the table before we each took a cup and started on the hot dogs.
