"UNCLE! UNCLE!" Jared cried out from where he was pinned beneath me.
I let him up and took a step back.
"You've only been here a week and you're already kicking my ass." he said.
I shrugged, "It's what I do best" I said smirking.
"Hey I forgot to tell you but we're leaving later today and heading south for a meeting or something like that." he said.
I froze. My old pack was in the south, but then again he never specified where in the south.
"Do you know where exactly?" I asked.
"Somewhere in the northern part of West Virginia." he said turning back to me. "Why-- oh" he said realizing. "Hey, don't worry about it we'll watch out for them ok." he said.
I nodded but then came to another conclusion. "I might not come back here after this thing is over." I told him picking up a towel and rubbing the sweat off my arms.
"Wait what?!" he asked.
"My mates pack is near that area so after it's over I might leave to look for him." I told him.
"Oh." was all he said before walking back towards the training building on the other side of the clearing.
We walked back in silence, nodding at the few guys still working out before going our separate ways to take showers before heading back to the main house.
When we got back Jared immediately told the group gathered in the kitchen and living room. "Lena's leaving after the meeting." he announced when he walked through the door.
Several pair of eyes looked in my direction but I ignored it and grabbed a ham sandwich from the platter and walked back out the door without saying a word to anyone.
I was alone for a few minutes before I heard the door swing open and someone sit next to me on the stairs.
"So you're leaving uh?" Sam asked me.
"After the meeting yes." I said getting up and walking away.
I knew he was following from the sound of foot falls behind me. "What do you want Sam?" I asked turning and coming face to face with him.
He sighed and looked at the ground before looking at me through his eye lashes.
Realization dawned on me. "Sam..... you know I can't" I said.
"I know.... it's just that.." he started but never finished his sentence.
I sighed. "I'm sorry Sam." I said before walking away.
Something hurt inside me and I couldn't figure out why, even Lea was acting a little unusual. I shoved it away thinking it was probably about the meeting and kept walking.

I had been running for about half an hour before I sensed movement to my right. When I looked I didn't see anything but me being acting before I though it through turned and slowly started in the direction of whatever had drawn my attention. After a minute I came upon break in the trees where a light brown wolf with white marking on the two front paws was lying.
I knew it was Sam so I made my way slowly toward him. He didn't move until I was standing right in front of him. He raised his eyes to look at me and I could almost feel the pain in them. Again I felt that twinge of hurt inside.
I knew I had caused it so I layed next to him. We stayed there for a while until he raised his head and placed it on my shoulders.
I stiffened at his touch and he must have felt it because he removed his head and stood up. As he walked away he seemed to droop, his head hung low and he let his tail hang limp. I had to make a decision on what to do before I lost my friend. I decided on instinct and ran after him and than past him so I could face him.
