Nobody Has To Know

Chapter Two

*Chris POV*

As I looked down at this girl that I haven’t since in five years I couldn’t do anything but stare at her. There was so much I wanted to tell her and let her know but my mouth wouldn’t move. Just when I was about to open my mouth to say something a pair of muscular arms wrapped around her waist. I looked behind her to see KaShawn and my blood start to boil. How did they get together or how did they meet? She was looking back and forth from me to KaShawn like she knew something was gonna pop off.

“Chris I see you met my girl” said KaShawn kissing Kachay long and deep in front of me. As bad as I wanted to punch him dead in his jaw he probably didn’t even know that we knew each other.

“Yeah I met her” I said trying hard not to look back at them because if I did I know I wouldn’t be able to control myself and there would have been a fight in the middle of the party. “Well I guess I will see you tomorrow at the studio right?” I said when he looked up at me from just kissing her.

“I don’t know me and Chay trying to do something tomorrow” he said looking at her smiling and she smiled back. Did this nigga just call her my nickname that I gave to her, he is mighty brave tonight. Then I felt someone arms wrap around me, I turned around and there was Masani smiling up at me. I didn’t return it but she got on her tip toes to give me a peck on the lips and whisper in my ear “I missed you so much.” She reached out her hand to Kachay to shake it but she was timid at first but she finally returned it. They looked like they were both sizing each other up but then Masani nudge me to say something.

“Oh damn my bad this Kachay ummm KaShawn friend-”

“Nawl she my baby correction” KaShawn pulling her into him even closer and kissing on her neck. Nigga don’t know how bad I wanted to set him straight kissing up on what is mine. I don’t know why all sudden I got all protective over Kachay because she ain’t even my girl and I haven’t seen her in five years but she had me wanting to pounce on a nigga.

“Oh snap Shawn you done got yourself someone finally” Masani said chuckling but there was still an awkward silence the music booming behind us. “Welp it was nice meeting you Crystal”

“My name is Kachay not Crystal” Kachay said mean mugging Masani.

“Oh my bad” Masani said gripping on me harder while smirking at Kachay. I guess she was trying to let her know that I was her’s and she knew what Chay name was she just wanted to do that to piss her off.

“Aight I see you when I see you Shawn” I said dapping Shawn up and walked off with Masani on my side. I looked back one final time to find both of them gone and nowhere to be found.

*KaShawn POV*

I was half way sleep on Kachay bed when she jumped on top of me and started playing with my curls. I wrapped my arms around her waist and slightly opened my eyes to see her looking like she had something on her mind.

“What’s wrong?” I said sitting up with her still on me.

“You promise you won’t get upset?” she said adjusting herself on me.

“I can’t promise you that but I can promise you that I will listen to you all the way through” I said rubbing the back of neck.

“Well you know Chris right?” she said looking down at the bed sheets playing with her pajama shorts.

“Get to the point ma”

“Well me and Chris know each from way back in the day in Virginia and well let’s just say we used to date” she said biting her bottom lip. When she said that I pushed her off my lap and just started to rubbing my temples. Did she say that she went with my one of homeboys? Not just any one of my homeboys like the one who helped me with so much in life. Chris really helped me get my life together.

“So how long ago was this?”

“Five years ago then he left and nobody heard from him since.”

“Why didn’t you tell me this shit early Chay? Damn!” I said standing up and started pacing up and down her room.

“Shawn how was I suppose to know you and Chris were cool? Plus you was all up on me talking about I was your baby and shit”

“I been telling everyone that I got a new girl so how am I suppose to explain to them that we are just close friends when they already think something else. Thats goin to make me look like a damn fool. Plus Chris and I aren’t cool anymore...Well not after me kissing up all on you at his party, in his house, in front of him. ”

“Nobody told you to do that shit you did it and why you even worried bout him? Me and him ain’t been together in so long or better yet seen each other in so long” she yelled at me.

“Chay you don’t get it. Like I dissed him in front of everyone and didn’t even know it.” When I said that she looked down like she was contemplating on what to say next because she know what I just said was true. It felt like the room was quiet for an whole hour or at least that’s what it felt like but it was just a minute or so.

Kachay jumped off the bed and slowly walked over to me, then wrapped her arms around my neck and then said to me “Fuck Chris if he don’t want to be friends with you over me he is stupid and thats his lost”

“But he is like a brother to me and you know I ain’t got nobody else.” looking down at her.

“You got me.” she said showing her contagious smile.

“Yeah you right I do got you huh” I said smiling back.

Next Day

*Chris POV*

“Daaaaaamn Chris” said Tyga rolling up a doobie something that I need more than anything. After that stuff that went down at the party with Kachay and KaShawn all I could think about was Kachay. Like what did she think of me? Did she know me Shawn were friends and try to get back at me? Or just Simply did she love me anymore? I don’t know what got over me and then Masani wanted to act out at the house but I shut that shit up quick. I told her that if she didn’t want to be with me it’s simple leave nobody asked you to stay. She got the point and sat her ratchet ass down. So this morning I came to the studio really early and I called Ty up told him to come meet me here. I just got done telling him what happen at the party.

“Yup my dude that’s what happen” I said as I lit up the blunt and a took a long, slow drag.

“So your telling me that your ex is fucking with your homie? Damn I would hate to be in your shoes”

“See I think that neither one of them knew that I was connected to both of them” I said walking toward the back to get something strong to get this feeling out my head.

“¿Qué?” Ty said while turning around.

“What nigga?”

“I didn’t understand nothing you just said?”

“Your GED motherfucker you don’t understand shit” I bust out laughing but Ty just shook his head and took another hit “But for you to understand I think they didn’t know they both knew me”

“See how simple you could’ve said that instead of what you said a minute ago” Ty said but there was a knock on the door. I looked at my clock which read only 7:00am, I thought I told all the boys to come to the studio at 10am. I looked at Ty and he just shrugged his shoulders like I don’t know who it is either. So I walked over to the door to open it and I looked down to find someone I really didn’t talk to.

“You gonna let me in or you just gonna make me look like a dumb ass standing out here”

“Yeah Chay you can come in” I said and closed the door behind her.
