Layla -

"GRANDBABIESSSSSS !!" Mama Tonya yelled before she grabbed Mari up and gave her a big hug and kiss. She giggled and laughed loudly as her Grandma tickled her. She instantly carried her to the kitchen for something to eat while Kj came down the stairs and grabbed a car seat. "Thanks Kj" I said walking into the living room and sitting Jai'meer car seat on the floor. "Wassup Lil dude" Kj said to Jaydon as he picked him up. I left Jai in his car seat and turned it towards me as I kicked off my shoes and relaxed on the couch for a nap before everyone got here. I called Marcus three more times and each time he didn't answer. I shook my head and let my self dose in to a well needed nap.

Marcus POV -

"Angelic stop man I need some fucking space." I said mugging her as she kept trying to massage my neck and arms. "Damn Marcus, I'm just trying help ya old stressed ass out" she said sucking her teeth and pushing his head forward harshly. "Why you don't want me no more Marcus? I know it's not because of ya' little pregnant baby's mother" she said rolling her eyes. I sighed and got up getting ready to go to my next meeting "get back to work" I said holding my office door open for her. She rolled her eyes once again then sashayed out. I closed my door making sure it automatically locked and walked down the hall to a meeting I called for today. I looked around for Jay as soon as I walked in and couldn't find him anywhere. I left my personal phone in the car this morning so I haven't been able to call and check in with her to see how the kids are.

We started the meeting with no sign of Jay and I didn't know where he could've been. We discussed the shooting and who it could be. I knew it had something to do with Kevin but lately we've been watching him and he hasn't done much of anything so I haven't retaliated back yet.

We discussed a few other business related things before I closed the meeting and let everybody get back to work. Just as I was walking towards the door Kj called me "Yo mac?" He said jogging up to me. I nodded "wassup?" He looked nervous "Jay said for me to tell you that your BM been blowing up ya phone all day." He said. I nodded and turned around to goto my office. I had to hold this meeting over the phone first. "Aye mystic get my phone out my car and bring it to my office." I said to the new temporary secretary up front. She nodded and I headed to my office to start our meeting.

Layla POV -

"Layla you okay? You look like a lost puppy" Marcus's aunt maple said taking a seat next to me on the couch. I kept thinking about why Marcus wasn't answering his phone and where he could be. Jay told Momma he couldn't come because His girl wouldn't let him so I was stuck meeting everybody by myself. "Oh I'm fine! Just a little sleepy." I said forcing a smile. "Don't worry he'll be here soon. He probably just got held up." she said getting up and picking up one of the little kids running by. She was one of his younger aunts and very cool. Her name was Rashonda Bates. I groaned after checking my phone to see no calls from him. I decided to call one last time before I asked momma to watch the kids while I go check his office.

I called and it rang twice before a female answered "Hey" in a high pitched voice. I shook my head and looked at the phone to make sure I dialed the right number. Yup, it says babydaddy as the caller id. "Helloooo" she said again. I instantly became pissed "Where is Marcus?" I said calmly. She sighed "oh he's busy right now but I'll tell him to call you back when we're done. I mean he's done." She corrected clearly purposely and hung up. I sighed laughing to myself in disbelief. I'm livid.

Momma Tonya walked up and sat next to me holding Jai "you okay baby you look a little upset" she said with a look of worry. "Yes I'm fine momma I just need to go get some air. Would you mind looking out for the kids for a few minutes?" I asked her with a reassuring smile. She nodded and I thanked her before getting up and heading to the front porch. I took a deep breathe as soon as I closed the door behind me and sat on a porch chair out front.
