Perfection or desperation? Part 1
Excuse all mistakes
Layla POV -
Our second day at myrtle beach I was getting a little home sick being without Layla for so long and Marcus wasn't making it any better at all.
It started with us going out to eat at a diner called "Charley's Angels" down the street from our hotel. It wasnt much conversation because of Marcus's constant buzzing phone and then him picking up every single call he got.
I hadn't minded too much because I didn't to much care for morning conversation so I ignored it.
After breakfast we went to the upside down house and took Alot of pictures and got a cute older couple too take a few of us together. I enjoyed it as much as Marcus's phone allowed us to before we had too leave and decided too have lunch at a Crab Shack around the block. Marcus's phone buzzed about every five minutes on a consistent basis throughout the day.
We had finished lunch around four and The seafood platter I had of shrimp, oysters, and hush puppies started too settle in making me Realize seafood didn't agree with my munchkin at all and that it actually made the baby go crazy in a kicking fury which lead too almost unbearable back pains on the way home.
Irritable heat, mood swings, a aching back, and the constant buzzing of Marcus's stupid phone throughout the day lead up to another one of my many emotional episodes except this one was directed right onto Marcus.
We had walked into the hotel room to rest before dinner tonight and Marcus had just stepped onto the porch to take another call on his stupid phone. I knew it wasn't another female because he's not that type of man. In fact all his calls were on his business phone, Which he was not suppose to be on while we were on vacation.
I had gotten comfortable on the couch with a bowl of pineapples and strawberries when Marcus had walked back in thirty minutes from What sounded like a heated conversation.
"Are you finished yet?" I asked him as I bit into another strawberry. "Your phone has been going crazy since we left this morning" I stated matter of factly.
He signed heavily which ticked me off incredibly "Layla it's alot going on back in Atlanta. I know we're suppose to be on vacation but I really need to handle-" he stopped mid sentence to answer his phone once again and I exploded.
"MARCUS I AM BEYOND TIRED OF HEARING YOUR PHONE BUZZ EVERY FUCKING MINUTE. WE HAVE BEEN ON VACATION GOING ON TWO DAYS AND YOU MANAGED TO STAY OFF YOUR PHONE ONE DAY. IF THAT DOESN'T TELL ME WHAT COMES FIRST IN YOUR LIFE I DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL.." I screamed then took a deep breathe as I rubbed my temples.
"Now.. I hate to do this but you need too choose.. are you going to put your work first for the rest of this weekend or are you going to put me, the woman who had your first child and the woman your trying to build a life with ... If you choose your work I will pack my shit now, hop in a cab and you will receive a letter from a California judge in a few weeks for your visitation rights of Zamari... Play with me if you want to." I calmly finished satisfied that I calmed myself down during a episode.
Marcus still dumbfounded by my sudden emotional outburst just stood there staring at me as if he was at lost for words. "Well" I said getting aggravated all over again by his staring.
A minute later all I heard was snickers from his phone as Marcus finally got hisself together and fixed his mouth too say something "Aye I'll catch y'all when I get back" Marcus said as he stared back at me still in utter shock and disproval. "Yo man no this seri-" Dj tried to finish before Marcus pushed end and sat his phone on the dresser.
