Perfection or desperation? Part 2
Excuse all mistakes
Kevin POV -
"Ya BM will be here two weeks from tomorrow night." De'ara said while rolling her eyes. "She has about 6 more hours until she goes into labor so they are going to get her next week tonight." She stated while filing her nails and popping a piece of bubblegum. I nodded as I flipped through more channels on the tv for something good to watch. I stopped turning when I came across the news talking about ole' girls baby that was outside of the house fire.
"This just in April Druben, the girl who was burned alive in her home fire, has been buried and now laid to rest but her killer is still unknown. We've gotten a few witnesses who say they know for sure it was a man but we're still waiting for a more descriptive description of him. Now the 4 month old baby that we found outside of the burning house is named Adriyana Adele Druben, April Druben's daughter, has been placed into a temporary home with a treatable case of bronchitis. Police say they are trying to track down family who could adopt Adriyana Druben and give her a better life. Now for the news forecast for tomorrow."
I flipped the channel once more in search of something interesting to watch. Finally I had settled to watching Martin and was laughing so hard my stomach hurt. Martin is the all time greatest comedian alive. I thought to myself after a hour of watching tv.
"De'ara what you making for dinner?" I yelled looking back at the tv screen just as she walked down the stairs and into the kitchen "Roman Noodles with sausage on the side." She stated with her hand on her hip. I scrunched my face up "You can't cook some real food Dee?" I asked "umm No Kev. I told you I can't cook" she yelled before she walked into the kitchen and started her meal.
"Ight you right. I'll be back later" I yelled as I slipped my shoes on and walked out the door headed to her cousin Candice house. I jogged to my car after sending her a quick text so she'd have something ready "Babe where you going?" De'ara screamed as I got into my Audi and started it up. I don't need to answer to nobody.
Layla's POV -
3 hours later
"Nurse I don't need Nobody here ! T-trust mme." I stuttered out in pain as another wave of contractions came. "Ohhhh my g-god" I semi yelled as I held the side rails of my bed. She shook her head and walked back out after taking my blood pressure once again.Doctor Benji came in moments later "Alright let's check how much longer you have and go from there" he said as he grabbed a pair of gloves and looked between my legs.
"Okay Layla you still have a little over I would say two more hours until you can MAYBE push the little one out. But to make that go faster I would do something active like walk around the hospital or turn on some music and dance. Something along those lines would be okay for you to do to get this process going faster."
I shook my head then replied a simple "Ok" as I watched him leave. I forgot how painful this process was when I had Mari. My phone buzzed once then stopped signaling I had a message.
Unknown Number - I hope those shots didn't hurt to bad L-doll .
I immediately froze and it felt like my heart dropped to my stomach as I read the text I had received from a unknown number. Kevin. Was the only named that came to mind once I read L-doll at the end. He was the only person who ever called me that.
Suddenly a nurse ran in as my blood pressure machine started blaring loudly. "Layla what's wrong hunny?" She asked worriedly as she patted my arm and helped me lay back down. My nurse was a cute little elderly woman named Macy. She was really nice and took really good care of me and little nooka. I shook my head "I'm fine" I said as I forced a smile on my face "I was just a little startled by some news I heard." I reassured her trying to calm myself down mentally. She nodded ok then poured me a cup of water and left. Just a few minutes after she walked out Mama Tonya walked in looking like a woman on a mission. "Layla, what happened between you and Marcus?" She questioned before she even took a seat.
