Chapter 15 is heeeere! I'm so happy. This story just BOOMED recently. I mean, it's not on the what's hot list or anything, but I think it's doing pretty well. Lots of readers. Lots of speculation on who the stalker is. And... okay, here's my confession:

When I first started writing this, I knew who the stalker would be and the plot and everything, but recently, as I've been writing this more, I've been thinking. And I didn't like the original plot. So, I'm changing who the stalker is and the motive, but... you wouldn't know this if I didn't tell you because it's pretty much the same with a slightly different ending. A better ending, I personally think. Anyway, enough is enough, read on!

 Chapter 15~

 (Ainsley's Pov)

A loud crash of lightning awoke me. I squeaked, my eyes flinging open in fear. It was still excruciatingly stormy outside, and the house was quiet, save for Geek's steady breathing. I propped myself up on my elbows and took a deep, relaxing breath, and peered over the edge of the couch at him.

He had one arm flung over his eyes, his lips parted a little as he slept soundly, the other arm wrapped around a gently rising and falling bundle I knew to be Toby. At least someone managed to get some needed sleep, my mind thought bitterly.

A terribly loud rumble of thunder made me clutch the layers of blankets to my chest. How on earth could Geek sleep through that? It was impossible! The rain pounded on the windows and house, and it was really beginning to freak me out. And when I am freaked out, I usually do things I normally never would do.

Like what I decided to do right now.

I stood up slowly, wincing when my knees cracked, and wrapped the toasty warm blankets around myself. Geek's body was sprawled out in every direction, so I subtly kicked his left leg, moving it over to him more. He shifted and sighed in his sleep, fingers twitching slightly. I nearly laughed at how adorable his mussed bedhead looked.

Wait, what? I never, ever would use the word 'adorable' to describe him. I mean, ew! He was a geek! And I was not. Therefore, I couldn't fall for him. Not that I would even think about falling for him, it was just a-

Thunder and lighting clashed, making me squeal and lose my thought process. Damn it! Why wouldn't he wake up on his own? It would be way too embarrassing for me to wake him up out of fear of the storm. I had to keep the upper hand. I was the one who should be protecting Geek. He was harmless and awkward and too... well, too innocent to be dragged into my mess. I mean, even if he did have some fast reflexes and nice, compact biceps that were shockingly droolworth-

I cut myself off, not even daring to let my mind go any further. Fact of the matter was, I should be protecting Geek because he was weak and I was not.

"Ainsley?" Geek rasped sleepily. I nearly jumped out of my skin, pressing my hand to my thudding heart underneath the blankets. Just because I was strong didn't mean I couldn't get scared.

"What?" I snapped. He moved his arm off of his eyes and rubbed them, yawning.

"Why are you up?" he asked curiously. His eyelids were half-lidded, his dark eyelashes fluttering over his pale skin. For some reason, the fact that I even noticed his eyelashes made my heart go thumpity-thump thump.

"I woke up and needed to stretch," I answered coolly, as if the answer was obvious. I lost my composure when another blasted strike of lightning synchronized with a loud roar of thunder, making me tremble slightly.

"Really?" he asked dryly and even in the darkness I could see his lips curl up into a smirk.

 "Really."
